Been really in a struggle bus with the digital painting studies I've been doing lately and it's got me wondering....
Anyone with a background in using traditional mediums that later on have done more of their paintings in digital painting programs, have there been parts of the process that you carried over from one medium to another?
I haven’t drawn mice or other rodents in ages... I should pick that up again: when you’re that tiny everything takes courage and anything can be an adventure~.
Many years ago in an art therapy course I made a pastel image of a woman crying. I've always wanted to paint it. The other image I made in that class became a painting that I feel is cursed. But this image of the woman crying has always felt safe to me so I finally painted it. This is a short video and a longer one is coming soon. 🩵

If you watch all the way to the end I show the original pastel drawing that inspired the painting :bunhdlurk: I hope this is not a cursed artwork I have made & only good things come from it. The other pastel drawing I made in this class I turned into an oil painting which someone tattooed on their arm & I did not like that at all because they were being scary to me.
