1/ When I mentioned rehoming the kitty who moved in here this summer, I talked about his safety- cats outdoors here don't live very long.
Another serious concern was for all the other little people- he was a very keen/ very effective hunter!
After he left (see posts from couple of days ago) it seemed like #GreatMother#Mara#EarthGoddess#BirdGoddess (all synonyms/facets of the same #nature principle) was sending me messages: remember all the other lives and : life is still here. more-replies-
4/The fact that these sightings were so immediate made it feel like a reassurance/reminder from the #divine -the part of life/existence that is beyond (beside/throughout) the more mundane or concrete parts of our experience.
Of course you can say these are mere coincidences and/or wise wildlife realising a predator has gone (very quickly!) but the point of #spirituality for me is accessing/building a framework for relating to and connecting with the world.- cont #pagan#animist
5/ in other words, a thing does not have to be literal to be true. I don't have to think there is an entity in the woods sending creatures for me to see, in order to feel that there is a principle of life, a force, an energy that may be seen and experienced in ways that speak to me. There doesn't have to be a concrete messenger for a there to be a message that is meaningful. A cricket got inside my workplace on Friday evening. After a few tries, I managed to pick them up off the floor and put them back outside to hang out near some tall grass.
