Simplicity of two white water lilies in black and white. I captured these beauties in the wetlands of Florida. In the Spring they bloom wild all over Florida covering the waterways where the water is still and relatively shallow.
The simplicity of black and white puts the focus on the fine details of the white petals.
Chinese Lantern branch; aka "Physalis Alkekengi," oil painting. This plant draws its symbolic meaning of safety, comfort and protection from the papery outer "lantern" or husk, which protects and envelops the berry.
It's a cold early winter's day as I walk the boardwalk passing through the dunes to the beach. My mind turns to the many times in the past that I have walked this same boardwalk in much warmer weather. . . .
This photograph showcases the Charles M. Beeghly, a distinguished freighter of the Great Lakes, as it navigates the tranquil waters of the St. Mary's River. The sepia tone adds a classic, nostalgic feel to the image, evoking the rich maritime history of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Perfect for any setting that appreciates historical elegance.
