I've created a #browser#extension that allows one to (1) select which browser extensions to disable and (2) which sites to disable the extensions on.
Purpose is two-fold:
(use at your own risk please)
#Security: You can visit banking sites, etc. without needing to manually disable browser extensions.
#Usability: On some sites certain functionality isn't helpful, for example, I don't want highlighting extensions to operate on #Perlego pages, Perlego has built-in highlighting.
I submitted #feedback to #Patreon on the #new#UI weeks ago. Besides being slow, it makes it very easy to #miss posts from creators you sponsor if you aren't checking your feed constantly - they can easily get #hidden behind a "more..." link.
I asked them to bring back a simple reverse-chronological view of all posts from my creators, which is what they had before.
Weeks later, I got a response: "That's a good idea for a new feature, we'll discuss it".

Wenn ihr am WE Zeit und Lust habt, könnt ihr mir ein wenig Feedback zur Gestaltung/Navigation/Design etc. des Blogs geben. Was kann man verbessern? Bitte davor den Browser-Cache löschen. 👇

We not only get general #feedback, but also very specific ones on devices - in this case someone on #Reddit had #commented on the #TUXEDO Pulse 14 - Gen3:
Since upgrading to iPadOS 17 on my iPad Pro, the mirroring widget now shows two Apple TVs and "Show More..." Problem is, I have only three Apple TVs and the only one I EVER mirror is always initially hidden by "Show More..." This behavior is an enhancement in what manner?
'When the screen reader pronounces # before text, like #apple, it should say "hashtag" as in "hashtag apple." If it is a digit, like #1, it should say "number" and the number's value, like "number one." Alone, it should say pound sign or a regional word.'
This is my #Mastodon view of another post. I highly doubt this has 30 boosts, but only 1 favourite. I think that the quality of this number is a well known problem, so why is the number of favourites still being shown if we know that the number is relatively meaningless?
It may be of interest and value to the author of this post, but having it visible to me is kinda pointless, I think, in fact it's misleading and confusing.
I had today an absolute blast at speaking with someone that I followed for quite some time here on :mastodon:
We talked for 2 hours 🤯 (but truth be told, maybe it's me becoz well that's the usual with many people I meet: I am a sucker for deep conversation 😁).
He gave me some beautiful links which are so on point with what I'm doing right now! And that sparked a desire to talk again on the subject of the art of giving #feedback.
I know that we have a telegram chat for announcements but I think it would also be a good idea to also have a matrix space where we can also get announcements and maybe even also chat and get support.
One of the reasons I think we should is that not everyone has Telegram and it requires a phone number to sign up to, but a lot of people have Matrix and even if they don't it's easy to sign up to. Another reason is that telegram isn't a great platform due to it being a centralized corporate platform which is now allowing/forcing ads on it, some of which for very sketchy blockchain services, which obviously isn't great and is a pretty big reason people would want to avoid it.
(I posted this from #Mastodon so it could reach further and also so I could mention people).
Unpaid help, alas. You'll get an in-file credit for the feedback. Publication itself will be free.
It might be helpful if you know what a peer review is, :) but you don't need to be a credentialed academic – it will just be fun if you can pose as one!
The game was tested. It's before formatting (6 A4s, ~2k words). Takes ~15 min. to play but feedback from reading is enough for the authors.
