Breaking: rapist has posted a bond of nearly $92 million in E. Jean Carroll defamation case. The posted bond is exactly $91,630,000.00, which includes a district’s courts common practice of requiring a bond of 110% of the judgement.

Insurance company Chubb underwrote the $91.63 million bond for Donald Trump, which the former president signed on Tuesday, March 5.
Under the terms of the bond, Chubb will only secure the appeal of the $83.3 million judgment, not any future appeals.

Rapist got someone to give him almost exactly that amount. America has no idea who that is or who he is now beholden to, and that is unacceptable as a counterintelligence matter.

The whole world wants to know where the money to purchase the bond came from.

And U.S. intelligence needs to know.

A billionaire shouldn’t need an agency to post his $90M bond. That should be chump change to a billionaire. Where’s Mr. I’m so rich when it comes to paying his bills?

📢 And just Thursday, Trump was ordered to pay $382,000 in legal fees for Orbis Business Intelligence, the consulting firm owned by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele.* Trump had sued Orbis over a dossier Steele compiled in 2016 that alleged Trump and members of his inner circle had been “compromised” by Russia’s security service.

Trump has to pay Christopher Steele. Let’s examine the Verified Claims:
Some key allegations made in the dossier were later corroborated:
Russian Interference: The dossier claimed that Vladimir Putin favored Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton and ordered an “influence campaign” to harm Clinton’s campaign and undermine faith in the U.S. democratic process. These claims were later supported by the Mueller Report. That many Trump campaign officials and associates had numerous secretive contacts with Russian officials and agents. Some of these contacts were indeed confirmed during investigations.

Grave National Security Threat

Trump got $7.8 MILLION from 20 foreign governments while in office. China tops list with $5.5M at his hotels while Saudi Arabia and Qatar

The transactions are detailed in a 156-page report The 'White House For Sale'.

Other foreign governments, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia also did business through four Trump entities, according to the report. The report says the foreign payments uncovered are 'likely only a fraction of the total amount of foreign payments he received during his presidency.

trump took in $7.8 million from foreign entities in 20 countries, payments to his businesses that violate a Constitutional prohibition on accepting funding from foreign governments.

The volume of #foreign payments detailed in one of the most exhaustive reviews of Trump’s business dealings with foreign governments while in office. 🚨

Valued at $14.3 billion, the #Almarai Co... The storehouses belong to #Fondomonte Farms, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabia based company Almarai.

Just 8 months ago, Arizona state agencies approved new deep-water wells in La Paz County for a Saudi-owned company to pump thousands of gallons of water per-minute.

That's not happening. Those drill permits have been revoked.

Goodmorning lovely #fediverse friends. After having had my morning coffee and a few client calls I finally have time to say 2 things about last nights discussion on multilingualism:

  1. why I personally don't see an issue with an English speaking server, but understand why it's important for others
  2. more importantly, that this discussion highlights the need for a community governance initiative

I'm typing this out while at work so toots might take a while.

letterus,

@Gina If everyone wants to, ok. But not everyone wants and not everybody is able to do so. I think the latter is important to really be inclusive.

(I love translation projects of the big #FLOSS projects like #LibreOffice. I find it so great, because it empowers ppl!)

I personally absolutely enjoy reading people talking in #foreign languages and I take it as a challenge to learn their #language and #culture which is always connected to each other.

Of course I use #DeepL a lot along the way.

Russian agent Boris Epshteyn to be questioned for 2nd day by special counsel: Sources So that likely means he's being interviewed to avoid a grand jury appearance. It almost seems like he's doing a "Queen for a Day" interview.

I'm going to watch all the usual suspects closely. See who goes dark. With the grand jury seeming like it's getting close to the end of the line, I'm not going to be surprised if they charge soon. Smith may have gone to to the interview to assess how

Epshteyn retroactively claimed he was criminal suspect donald's lawyer when he was a campaign advisor. Back date the docs you criminal.

Cocaine Jr has gone quiet today after a long Tweet storm of multiple posts daily. He was my contemporaneous pick for who accompanied Boris Epshteyn to Prague. The Steele dossier assumed it was Michael Cohen. I thought it was Epshteyn and that Don Jr would have accompanied him.

Cocaine jr. speaks Czech. My guess is that they have a ton of intelligence on Epshteyn and I'm also guessing that whatever was planning to do with the stolen top secrets it involved the Russians and Boris got involved. If so, he's looking at life for espionage.

That would get him to take an invitation to save himself by telling Jack all his darkest secrets.

Don Jr. deserves watching. I think they got his mother who was getting talky. Epshteyn may be able to dance through the rain drops but Don Jr. going through a Cocaine withdrawal possibly in the lock up could be too unpredictable for the Kremlin to take a chance.

While the newspaper article is for paying subscribers, the reporter Eric Margolis agreed that the publication Bilingual Japan of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (#JALT) #Bilingualism SIG may publish the full interview. The article is subtitled "Japan wants its next generation to be fluent in English. Culture and economic inequality stand in the way." What it means by #culture getting in the way is treated in my answer as to why the #English level in #Japan is relatively low (2nd picture).
