There was a time, when I dearly loved #TerryPratchett and #DouglasAdams, and they will always have a sweet spot in my heart for the many laughs and for all the cultural heritage, they left us.
However: Whenever I now grab one of their #books, their style and language feels terribly outdated and, frankly, boring to me.
@mina I don't quite agree. These two authors plus @neilhimself write stuff that appeal to me no matter how many times I've read it. For Douglas Adams I can somewhat understand as #hhgttg was a bit overplayed (plus #scifi is not my thing) but otoh, the Dirk Gently holistic detective series is a lot more enjoyable and timeless to me.
