Introducing Friction 0.9.6 Beta 1. This release includes several changes to the user interface and some additional new features. We are now in feature freeze, please report any regressions etc.
My version of a kishimisu (instagram.com/kishimisu/) style shader, after following his YouTube tutorial but in #webgpu. Mostly all things are translatable from #glsl to #wgsl
I get an error every time I try to upload a video to sandwich.net so here's a youtube link. Think I'm gonna switch to mograph.social #art#mograph#blender
Sending my #AfterEffects project files off to an agency who are going to translate it, and setting up the proj so that all the text layers in the dozen or so different derivative comps all link back to a single master layer, saving someone a heap of work. I feel like the universe owes me some good #Mograph karma.
The tinsel is actually procedurally generated using a shape layer, I would make a tute for it, but it renders incredibly slowly. No, slower than what you're thinking, it's actually a Really Bad Idea. I also wrote a script that let me animate the ribon, it's not a physics sim, it's all hand animated. By adding separate controls for each point on the line it's a lot easier to do path animation using shape layers. https://codeberg.org/stib/PureAndApplied_AEScripts/src/branch/cloninate-re-do/ScriptUI%20Panels/points-n-handles.jsx
Late night mograph. This took a bunch of compression to get down to posting size. Pretty happy with the results overall.
I had a minor freakout, because at one point, the animation wasn't lining up anymore, and it turns out I'd changed a setting on the wrong node cuz it's late and I'm punchy. #Blender3D#B3D#MotionGraphics#Mograph#MartianGraphics
Does anyone know of any communities or online spaces where freelancers can share advice about their craft and support one another? I'm planning on switching from full-time employment to freelance (in motion graphics) and I am interested in making connections with other freelancers in this field, mainly so it feels a bit less daunting and lonely!
Howdy! I'm a freelance designer and 2D + 3D animator based in Knoxville, TN. Together with my lovely illustrator wife @racheltravis we run a studio called VIVINEL.
We specialize in branding and motion for broadcast TV and have worked with networks like HGTV, Animal Planet, and The Weather Channel just to name a few.
We love the MOGRAPH community and would love to connect with others on this platform!
