@JosjeT@touaregtweet@rbreich Indeed, damn both those zealous bastards supporting a genocide and those opposing it; they’re both as bad as each other. Can’t we just agree that a moderate amount of genocide is the healthiest option?
I never want to get a notification when a poll I voted in ended. That has nothing to do with me so I don't understand why it shows up in my notifs. It feels like spam. Is there a way to disable this? #Notifications#Polls#Mastodon
@stefan@stefan Another reason why Phanpy has >63% of alt texts on images, has to be that users have a constant reminder and experience of alt texts, since the text appears as a caption.
When I typed in an alt text in the normal Mastodon web client, the devil inside me used to whisper: "pssst! most people won't see that text anyways".
The example in the image is from a post by @mariatta - random hi from your follower 👋
@cliffwade@Vivaldi I tried to use Vivaldi, but I stopped because there doesn’t seem to be a simple way of having different taskbar icons for different profiles, so you just end up with several of the same Vivaldi icons and not knowing which one relates to which profile.
I’ve gone back to using Firefox with a little bit of Arc.
Mastodon should allow uploading and posting images when creating polls so the poll can have a visual representation of what the poll is trying to survey.
@simon I tend to just upload images without adding alternative text to the images. I am going to make a better effort to adding ALT text to images on Mastodon.
Don't trust the #polls *gives a glimpse of the trend for a moment in time from few respondents... Read:
"Most pol journalists try to be fair & serve the public. But I want to say this, too: Some don’t.
“People in the know”: didn’t get anyone on the record but thought it was true, so they put the idea out there anyway. The “observers” might be anyone -lobbyists, colleagues, spouse... "Oppo": news outlet checks out the info. but doesn’t disclose where the tip came from-." https://www.stopthepresses.news/p/12-reasons-to-be-skeptical-about
Would you rather read the books or watch the TV series of whatever universe comes to mind? #polls
I've debated this with #Bridgerton for instance as I am now on the second book which I think is more historically accurate while from what I've seen of the show from clips it seems to be more of a fantasy from what is implemented. I like books because they allow me to picture everything the way I want to from the author's description.
