I am going down the rabbit hole with research for my new story. What I was originally planning to have as cosmic horror is becoming more and more eco-horror based on the history of New Brunswick. There’s so much going on here: expropriation for Base Gagetown and Mactaquac, huge amounts of DDT sprayed everywhere, rampant deforestation, and heavy testing of Agent Orange (and all the other rainbow herbicides). Wednesday 5th June, 9 am CEST, is the new deadline to apply for the role of GÉANT Chief Executive Officer (#CEO).
The CEO will be based in Amsterdam and will be entrusted with the dual responsibilities of overseeing GÉANT’s day-to-day operations and guiding the long-term strategic direction of the organisation.
In 2020, Swedish neuroscientists put 30 trans and 30 cis research subjects into a brain scanner and showed them pictures of their bodies. Then they showed them images where their body had been morphed to look more masculine or more feminine. The results support the natural order of gender identity.
New paper from our group led by @lawojcik! We found that not only trait adaptation among but also within functional groups shape ecosystem functioning in simple food webs.
