I've made a new #workflow which is tagging and releasing #cd built images automatically too. I can't wait for @nlnetlabs releasing a new #unbound version to watch the #magic. Or to watch it fail.
In my dev-env it works like a charm, though.
I don't want to seem arrogant but I guess this is one of the most feature-rich, secure and advanced image around. And always made with ❤️.
I'm a lazy person so I've implemented a #cd to automatically #update my #unbound#docker image as soon as @nlnetlabs publishes a new release. No worries, I can and will update the image manually in case #cve's got fixed in a component as you are used to. No sacrifice in terms of #security, so the unbound #sha256 will be populated, too to verify the integrity of the source tarball.
Today I finally got back to where I was on a project on Dec 22.
Sure I got a bunch of other stuff done in the interim, and fought a few fires, but it's also a cautionary tale of how a break in the flow of a project (like holidays) can knock back your continuity and make you climb that hill all over again. I'm glad I kept copious notes in those last days of December.
Tip of the day: Scotty Jackson, co-host of the excellent productivity podcast Nested Folders, which unfortunately closed its doors in January 2023, has created a great #iOS shortcut named Bubble Gum for quickly searching for materials and copying links to them to the clipboard. It supports a growing list of apps including #DEVONthinkToGo. Check it out. #tipoftheday#tooltip#workflowhttps://www.devontechnologies.com/blog/20210615-bubble-gum
I often draft notes in #Obsidian but eventually need them in Google Docs to discuss with colleagues. Does anyone have recommendations for a quick workflow to move a #markdown note into Google Docs while preserving existing formatting?
I currently export as RTF and then copy/paste into Google Docs. That can't be the best solution.
#TIL in @hrbrmstr daily drop (https://mastodon.social/@hrbrmstr/111063804154333546), about several #CLI#workflow control tools.
A very interesting one is the #rustlang "pueue" tool, which allows also controlling processes on remote servers, selectively pause each process, etc.
Would be useful to orchestrate those cli workflows that require multiple programs, scripts, etc. working on a pipeline, in particular if they are written in diff prog. langs.
Company announced on Friday: We need to cut 180 mil in operating expenses and there will be redundancies over the next 18 months.
Employees: Aren't you worried about how an 18 month review will impact employee morale and productivity. Nothing like looking over your shoulder and constantly wondering if you should start looking for a new job.
Company: it's a risk we have to take to make the savings we need.
Employees: Why are we paying to outsource and switch operating software at this time? What is the cost of that.

Anyone hiring UK / Hybrid Remote? In properly management or publishing/ inventory management?
Does anyone know a good cli-based #PKM solution for #Linux. I love tools like #logseq and #obsidianmd, but I am not able to find any CLI based #frontend for them, to streamline my #workflow. I am thankful for any suggestion you have.
🔖 While checking out the list of people I follow via RSS, I stumbled on a year-old post by @parkr, which inspired me to write a short addendum to my degrowth series.
What happens to your data when a remote system is shut down or just stops working? I don’t care, because I back it up, locally.
