I don't like how Sam Altman and his compatriots conduct business in East Africa with their world coin project. It definitely reeks of exploitation by the white man. Taking advantage of people's poverty there to increase their userbase en masse while defying the Kenyan government's orders is a bad look. Worldcoin wants to scan the irises of every person on the planet to build a global ID network to bring crypto to the masses and ensure we’re not AI — or that’s what it claims.
Behind the grand vision, there’s a history of exploiting people in the Global South for biometric data and tech that doesn’t actually work very well. Maybe it’s just a means to pump a crypto token, but there’s good reason for regulators to shut it down now.

Just read the term “Proof of Personhood” and it made me retch.
“Proof of Personhood” is how you destroy personhood by tying it to some arbitrary constraint controlled by some asshole; by making it, and therefore by extension, people themselves, a commodity.
So fuck Worldcoin, fuck Sam Altman, fuck scanning people’s eyeballs for profit, fuck cryptobros and their cultists, and fuck Silicon Valley very much.

Many things about the projects of #SamAltman seem questionable... I'm curious to see will #EU protect it's citizens or will it sell them to #bigTech again.
Something tells me their goal is to keep the monopoly on the currency market, rather than concern for the people's biometric data safety.
