@RickiTarr
Seeing a pattern here, lol.
He was funny, super clever and his eyes gave me the feels. It’s been 20 years and all those things are still true.
Was up North (Yes!) for a workshop on the #18thcentury ordering of people and spaces in architecture today. The Southwell Workhouse, just outside Nottingham, is honestly, completely fascinating. Left me with lots to go read. Here’s some graffiti of a sundial (?) left in the boundary of a liminal space just out of the Guardians’ sight #History
#kdrama moots, anyone else dipped their toe in Lovely Runner yet?!
First five episodes out with a 9.7 on Viki - looks like a breakout hit.
Was hesitant when they cast a 32yo ML & 27 FL in a high school time slip mystery series but wow. Both can really act and it is a complex script.
Byeon Woo-seok has been on my radar since Flower Crew. He shows genuine emotional range in this. Give it a try. First episodes are a bit uneven but it picks up.
Looks like the launch of a new super star!
A pack horse librarian delivering books in rural Kentucky in 1938. During the Great Depression, the Pack Horse Library Project was a Works Progress Administration (WPA) program in which the librarians, who were often called "book women" or "book ladies," delivered books to remote parts of Appalachia.

I was pondering how influenced this might have been by the Edwardian Bluestockings. Turned up whilst googling that Kings College Cambridge ‘let’ women in, in the early 70s. So progressive of them.

It’s so, so depressing. Yes the original NHS wasn’t drawn up with the 21stC population/illness in mind but a plan to invest, to keep up just wasn’t implemented, well before 2010. Whilst they wait for people cave to private as the option, so, so many won’t or can’t. And in that decades long process and going forward, people’s lives are needlessly impacted or lost. It’s dystopian.
@liztai
NO! So feel for you!
I live in fear of doing this 😱 I’ve just spent the morning working out our team’s rota for just two months whilst in the grip of fog v fear. Should have taken 10 minutes. Then realised I had missed a meeting. The calendar thing is real.
@liztai
I constantly just write an appt down for the correct day but on ANY random month in the diary. Like, open it at random and go,
there. The 15th. Done. My button to properly care does not exist. I try. I have pen on my hand today,😂
The only reason I hold down a job is that I work in heritage and 90% of the team is on a spectrum!
Get thee to the spa!
Asking for help.Discord on Mac. Says its dns is not secure. Does anyone have a bit of their time to explain it to me as to how I fix this. I was expecting a simple, generic fix but not found it online. All help gratefully appreciated
Huh no response despite a friendly boost (thanks for the boost)
I can only guess that:
a) I am being side eyed for using Discord
b) I am being punished for having bought a Mac.
c) No one wanted to be the mansplainer in this situation.
d) No one knows. Or
e) Cares
I had thought this would have been the place to ask this stuff 🤷♀️
It would be great if anyone could ID the music in A Killer Paradox on Netflix, Ep.4 at 24.42mins in. I might be obsessed with wanting to know. Have done a deep dive to no avail. #KDrama#kPop#music
This is a #kdrama casting pet peeve but I'm tired of characters that are supposed to be raised in the US or Europe that don't have the correct accents. It's a real annoying sticking point. Your character was raised in Iowa and you can't pronounce corn correctly.

Now We Are Breaking Up. Ooh…
But tbf, I suspect, and I make an effort in language to get it right, my Korean would be unintelligible. The ‘r’s and ‘l’s ARE hard and in one online lessson there was a whole section on pronunciation where multiple Hanguls were identical in sound but clearly aren’t. Like, full befuddlement for me.
Our world is already permeated with technologies that only recently seemed fantastic.
A new development from Apple has been added to our everyday life - mixed reality glasses.
With them, you can walk the streets, opening virtual tabs with movies, video calls, browser and more, which will be displayed on top of what you see on the street. Tabs are controlled through gestures. #AureFreePress#News#press#headline#Apple#VR#London
🍬, explaining how 2000s Eurodance music profoundly molded my generally lascivious nature: see, it can't just be intellectual... the way I feel, when you're next to me, is sexual...
