@log @courtcan @Adam_Cadmon1 there is already a move to make cars unaffordable so you have to lease or hire them, electric cars have remote kill switches & require a connection to the manufacturer (via app) to use/charge, we have been forced into a rent culture where you own very little or no assets, what a grim reality capitalism has created without true oversight from our elected officials, we even struggle to own our own data, that is why the rich hate the EU...

@ned that estimate was based on absolutely zero knowledge or understanding, plus wasn't his own cyber truck really delayed & much more expensive than promised that forced him to keep asking people to pay more for it after they agreed the initial price only for it to be released with lots of issues anyway?     @junesim63 what has happened & does happen to Dianne Abbott is abhorrent, that is a fact, but the reason she was suspended from the labour party was a completely separate issue, for her to conflate the two is at best disingenuous & at worst manipulative & leveraging the current situation to her benefit. She was suspended because she wrote a letter saying that The Irish, Jewish & traveller communities suffer prejudice but it's not life time racism, then apologised "for any anguish caused"...

    We really need to stop buying into the argument that are "radical" or "destructive". The opposite is true: the nature of the protests have been peaceful and, on the whole, pretty tame.

    The idea that, say, sitting on a road is "radical", "extreme" and "criminal" came from a bunch of aligned think tanks, parroted by the media.
    Reject them.

    The framing needs to be: Fossil fuel companies are radical, extreme, criminal.
