Write your docs in MD or Org, convert it to HTML and find a free hoster for static websites instead.

Repeating a thought from a week or so ago: Maybe opensource devs & indie creators need our own payment processor?

Stripe's pretty nice, but I'd rather not rely on VC startups. Maybe a cooperative alternative?

To be clear this would be a business endeavor satisfying Visa/Mastercard/etc rather than a technology.

You may argue this shouldn't be needed, but it is. I often see fellow techies overlook this need when proposing Patreon or Bandcamp or (prompting this toot) YouTube alternatives.

My first 39 (still in beta) upgrade was boringly easy. Pleasantly surprised at how many extensions already support 45 as well. So far, Gnome 45 feels like a very familiar incremental polish on 44.

The main problem is it being 10 years old….

It's that time of the year for my download. I have always liked what Ubuntu does and use it for some troubleshooting and testing if nothing else.

In the light of recent events of Ubuntu having translation issues, it's always a good reminder to verify your downloads. However, the instructions were not so great for Windows, here's my try to help bridge the gap.
