After poking around more, I thiiiink we can do something here using Mastodon's built-in APIs pretty trivially. Not quite the same thing as an unopinionated ActivityPub bridge, but as Andy said RSS works as an interface for that for folks who want to get technical (whereas I think most folks just want to be able to auto-publish toots for their new issues!)

@ernie have you considered a ThinkPad? They are the most upgradeable and if you get it from lenovo.com the price can't be beat.

Plus they make certified linux compatible models, and the keyboards are the best.

    When people say you are responsible "for fascism" or "democracy dying" for not voting.

    Why is it never an option to bring up the fact that they are even more responsible for not participating in organized labor, attempting to expand labor rights, and organizing a general strike to make real and immediate demands that can not be ignored.

    No one honestly believes voting is more powerful than direct action.

    Anyone suggesting voting is more important than the later is not arguing in good faith.

    in the unlikely event we have a general strike in the US the only way it will do any good is if people Pokemon-Strike-To-The-Polls.

    you can spend your whole life waiting for a general strike that won't ever come or you can vote for the first president to ever stand on a picket line.

    but I guess you're too "smart" to vote.

    I feel like I post this every few months, but: is there a launcher for AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to the latest Launcher, but lets me use a different search engine?

    I love the stock launcher:

    • At a Glance
    • Combined app/web search
    • Very little customizability because good defaults
    • Smooth animations/integration w/Recents
    • Ability to turn off Google Discover feed
    • Simple gestures (⬇️ notifications, ⬆️ all apps)

    ALL I want is instead of
