🧵 ist also heute. Ich sage immer, meine Muttersprache ist Europlais und ich mixe Sprachen mitten im Satz.
Meine Muttersprache ist Deutsch, den Dialekt meiner Mutter kann ich bis heute nur unter Ohrenschmerzen anhören (ich sag nicht welcher, will niemanden beleidigen). Den Dialekt meines Geburtsortes durfte ich als Kind nicht sprechen, ich wurde auf "perfekt Deutsch" gedrillt. Die Muttersprachen meiner Mutter sprach nicht mal meine Mutter und die Vatersprachen waren spannend.

Few mushrooms can be found right now with snow on the ground but this one was on eye level. It's a frozen Jelly Tree Ear (Auricularia americana?).

The same brown mushroom, photographed against the tree trunk. The upper surface looks wavy and crimped, with some deep indentations.

    @Donaupiratin @NatureMC Looks like otter prints because the feet are webbed. Raccoon has very distinct fingers.

    Doch, das könnte auch sein, wenn es dort Biber gibt. Den braunen, runden Rücken haben Otter und Biber, aber die Gangart ist sehr verschieden.

    Otter sind hier in jedem Biberteich, sie wandern ja weit und fressen auch nicht nur Fish, sondern Frösche, Schildkröten, Entchen, Muscheln ... , alles. Falls du das Tier gesehen hasst:
    Biber watschelt, Otter rennt, rutscht und springt.

    Yay! We have internet, but the radio station is off. Snowstorm isn't over yet. No busses, the roads still need to be cleared.
    Let's see if and how I can keep my appointment in an hour 😬.

    While we have a few mm of snow on the ground in the garden there is none just a km north of here.
    Making the best of it by looking for moss and lichens. Ice crystals have formed in every little nook and cranny here.

    One of my favourite lichens: a Ramalina (americana?).
    The lichens really thrive in this damp, foggy weather.
