Pour Over Coffee: Its History and Development. A Feature.
@kevinteljeur a few quick thoughts on this: poor board governance, no risk assessment, no suitably qualified estates team (or they were overruled), no basic cost assessments, poor executive oversight, executive group over ruled junior management.
And that's before any other types of questions get asked. Never underestimate the power of stupidity. It does wonders.
Oh and no, I don't compare this to the Children'shospital, which is a whole different planet.
@GottaLaff all joking aside (and #doonesbury is very good) but it'll be the kids of today who might finally fix the problems the adults of today have caused.
Also, hasn't Doonexbury done wonders over the years slapping certain groups and (ahem *orange) individuals very hard!!
Still squirreling away Halloween candy from years gone by? Eater has the lowdown on how long hard candies, milk and dark chocolate, marshmallows, and even your favorite candy corn can last. If your household is sitting on a sweet mountain, what do you do with all the excess?
@jon droning, monotone voice mode perchance? Pausing while flipping over the page and not finding it. Looking only at the paper, not the people.
All from people who we actually expect to perform better.
Not only bad presentation, but disrespect to the audience imo.
X owner Elon Musk will have to comply with European Union law and clamp down illegal content on the social network if it wants to keep on doing "good business" in the region, the EU's digital chief Věra Jourová said.
“With Mr. Musk, the dialog doesn't go well, very simply," Jourová told reporters in the wake of an EU probe into how the platform shows graphic illegal content and disinformation linked to Hamas' attack on Israel.
“Stewart’s intended discussions of artificial intelligence and China were a major concern for Apple. … Apple approached Stewart directly and expressed its need for the host and his team to be “aligned” with the company’s views on topics discussed.”
@rikefranke that is seriously not a good look for apple, is it!
They wanted him to "align" with their values regarding a large market segment of theirs suggests a big case of "we own you so do as we say". Interesting to see what the pushback will be.
@effinbirds there are a few politicians who are saying that today..... (to be clear, UK by-elections, and US former office holders and wannabee office holders)
@gbhnews I'm nowhere near Boston, but I always find your posts interesting. Fun fact, Boston was the first US city i visited, an i loved it! Oh and the big dig was still underway.....🤔😃😊 🎃🎃🎃
In the sixth episode of our IrelandEU50 podcast series our guest is writer and political commentator James Candon.
A self-confessed Europhile, James believes in bringing people together to build a competitive diverse Europe and argues that Ireland in the EU has provided freedom and privilege to have one or more identities and to have strong and free debate on all political matters that impact our daily lives.
People mock me mercilessly for traveling with my own fussy, artisanal coffee and coffee rig with me when I travel. Decided to leave it home for a quick in-and-out trip to MSP -- and oh lord, am I regretting that decision. How do you people drink this garbage water? Wow.
@badlogic as a non tech / coding person, I only thought the "invite code" was a management system for numbers rather than security. Or am I missing something here?
