finally finding my feet here so time to toot an
I’m mostly a writer… but have also dabbled in theatre, improv, music, cabaret and art.
do a lot of technical writing and content creation to pay the bills and keep the dream afloat. Wrote my first user guide on a Mac when they didn’t come with hard disks.🤓
on my bookshelves you’ll find Peter Kingsley, Jung, Hillman, Eliade, Corbin, Bachelard, and Gurdjieff… and my playlist can be triangulated by Keith Jarrett, Arvo Pärt, and Kylie.
the rest is mostly taking lots of time to enjoy the slow quiet living of a simple life.

Sharing more playtime project. Laser with acrylic. Last thing was October birthday cake topper, inspired by photo of friends' little boy and his dog, looking out of their window together. I added in separate pumpkins and the word ONE. He's one obvs. :) I use Adobe Illustrator and cut on laser. I try to get kerf (hair width material laser removes when it cuts) exact 0.055" +/-, so acrylic inlay slots right in. Not "high art" but it's fun.

Guess I should start with my . Hi there! I'm Mea, Aussie Artist - primarily digital stuff but I try a little bit of everything. Resin, Acrylic Painting, Mixed Media, 3D Sculpting and Printing... an anything that takes my fancy. I love learning new techniques and trying new things!

Included is a pic of me and my Original Characters - I'm also an avid roleplayer and love coming up with backstories for my creations. All of the ones pictured I actively RP in some way with someone, somewhere.

I also love creating creatures either chimeras that are various animal parts put together somehow, using ancient animal descriptions to make something up, or creating alien races that have infinite possibilities.

Currently I'm a kitty-mom to seven... three permenant furbabies - Terra, Fuzzbutt and Dagos (pronounced Takohs). And four foster kittens; Ciri, 'Connor', Nero (short for Habanero) and Hal (short for Jalapeno). Looking after them until they're old enough for vaccinations and we can find them a fur-ever home. (If you're local let me know if you're looking for a sweet kitten to keep forever!) XD

I've been on blahaj.zone for a decent bit, but now I'm self-hosting out of reliability concerns. Looking forward to futzing about with this some more!

I write a lot and show most of it to no one. I'm a leftist. I'm a fan of all furry critters and plenty that aren't. Neurospicy. Very strong opinions on accessibility, especially that no one's needs are universal. Tech-focused, but I wish we could stop building anew so much and focus on a reliable, stable core that we can expand on for decades or centuries to come.

No one is free until all of us are free.
