No code -> No fan... I hate tasks that are not related to the development of the game itself, I put it off every day, dozens have already accumulated, I'm so lazy to do it, how do you cope with it?

@maxim not at all I'm afraid 😔 so many things I hate get done only at the last minute. For some things it works when I tell other people that I will be finished by a certain (early) date. I feel pressured to do it early then. Not a healthy thing to do though.

@itsfoss a non-memorable one. Had a bunch of issues with the display, keyboard, fan noise, standby/suspend and started researching on how to fix them, feeling all nerdy and pro.

Then I just switched to a newer kernel version and it fixed everything. Simply a driver issue. (btw: as a linux noob, was very hard to find out kernel version is a thing, installing piece of cake)

Point being: if you get a new laptop, consider installing a new kernel version, before putting in too much manual effort.

Hi @frameworkcomputer! Thanks for the reminder email about BIOS update because !

I tried to update the Framework 13 AMD according to the help page and it does not work. :blobcatsadpats:

I get an "update progess: completed" from H2OFFT but then the screen goes black, device stays powered on but is unresponsive. I forced a shutdown (hold power button) after 2 hours. On booting again I get "Update Failed! EFI Error Code 2, Decompress failed!"

Any pointers?

With the news that Google is going to "supercharge" Maps with "AI" (and the poor results I've had with Apple Maps), I finally checked out OpenStreetMap: https://www.openstreetmap.org/

OMG THIS IS AMAZING. So much more useful detail! Incredible! Going to dig up an app for my phone and use this for a while to see how it compares to the ad- and AI-ridden nonsense.

@belghast @maxim +1 on exactly this. Elaborate games are sometimes too much, then I dig out Diablo 1 and an old mouse I don't mind breaking.

edit: some rare times I play UT2004. Single maps with instagib mod. Gloriously mindless.

I was wondering: when I click on one of the many different PeerTube links within on , is there a way to automatically open them with , just like for YouTube links? I imagine the variety of instances with their different domains are a bit in the way? Would there be a Tusky setting or is it an OS thing? Currently all links are opened in the browser.

Gibts eigentlich Adapter, mit denen man ein Bluetoothheadset (Lautsprecher + Mikro) an einen 3.5mm Klinke anschließen kann? Klar, braucht der noch eine Stromversorgung dazu. Hintergrund ist, dass ich gerne ein kabelloses Headset an einem nicht Bluetooth fähigen Laptop hätte, auch nicht per Dongle erweiterbar.

Just a quick shoutout to @keepassxc . You have really solved a problem with your software for me and I also think your GUI is a great example of how stuff can be working for casual user who want to click stuff and advanced users who want to use the keyboard. Really good idea, but I'll have to be a hair in the soup. On an environmental panel discussion a polymer researcher (someone deeply opposed to single use plastic btw) made the point to be extremely careful when using plastics outside its intended use case around food. Temperature, acidity and lipids (fat) can break down plastics not designed to withstand them. So microwaving your fried lemons in a random plastic container is something I would be hesitant to do. Not saying you'll die, but please be careful!
