@JoshuaHolland @GottaLaff one could also ask why the UAW is still on the Nazi site. Wouldn't be an issue if they weren't there. It's been a year now. No excuse for being surprised.

@GottaLaff if it warrants an article, someone must think it’s man bites dog. Right? Sorry, just irritated at these articles when the answer is so incredibly simple: just leave.

NEWS: Fed appeals court panel dealt a serious setback to 's effort to access Rep. Scott Perry's phone.

His contacts related to the 2020 election are covered by the Speech or Debate Clause, panel ruled.

Ruling may be welcome news to both parties on Capitol Hill, however: It signif expands scope of Speech or Debate clause — incl, for 1st time, to cell phones.

Dems joined Rs to intervene in this case to ensure this outcome. https://cadc.uscourts.gov/internet/opinions.nsf/53FDEC7E544D232E85258A29005F24EC/$file/23-3001-2016705.pdf

My fight against data brokers and badvertisers has been insanely hard. Its almost like breaches are built into the entire us system.

I am meeting with CA lawmakers so we can fight back on:

  • scams
  • badvertisers
  • security issues

CCPA is a start, but how can we do more?

How can we give ppl in CA better options in an intelligent way? Need ideas.

@reginagrogan I think contextual is the perfect answer. Put ads on the page that are interesting to the people who are reading the page. Disclaimer: I work in contextual advertising so I’m talking my own book, but I am a believer too.

@Sheril I hope your pup does well and bounces right back! Ours just had knee surgery two weeks ago and got the stitches out yesterday.

Here is the law of and other roles:

Took the day off today and now,

  • website is down
  • everything is fully apeshit

But:

  • i got my favorite foods
  • i got a bouquet of flowers
  • took a nice walk
  • SLEPT

it’s the law of
you’re relaxing for like two seconds and i guess the devil shows up idk

Is this a thing?

The recording industry is suing the Internet Archive for "the Great 78 Project, a community effort for the preservation, research and discovery of 78 rpm records that are 70 to 120 years old."

Bad look for Sony, Universal, etc. This is about preserving history, not music piracy.

I was out and saw a few "Burke Gilman - Interurban Trail interconnect" signs and ended up chasing them down. The southern ones are horrible, the northern ones are similar to how I used to bike to Shoreline Community College for school.

Anyway one thing lead to another and I think this is the least likely to kill you route from Lake Forest Park Town Centre to Alderwood Mall, in case for gods only know what reason you wanted to go there. But as a subset of that, it's also the least bad Burke Gilman<->Interurban (North) connection.

@moira Have you tried Apple Maps? I think they added a bunch of bike specific routing recently. I could be wrong tho

Apple called this out during WWDC, nice to see this happening in the wild.

Would love to arrive at a hotel, throw a video/movie/show from my phone to the big screen in the room. 🙌🏻

@davemark I often bring my MBP when I know I won’t need it for work solely so I can plug an HDMI cable into the hotel TV and use my Plex. It would be a real treat to simply AirPlay from my phone!

The reality distortion field better be at record levels next week because I still don't get this headset stuff. I'd understand it as an R&D side project to be ready for 15-20 years from now when battery/compute tech might be ready. But this moonshot approach of throwing tons of resources at it and shipping something maybe even this year? Just don't see it working out.
