Today is my Two Year Anniversary 🥳

I'm not going to lie: it's been challenging dealing with major fatigue, brain fog, pain, breathlessness, random flare-ups, and an ever growing assortment of medical and mobility aids.

I'm not saying this as a pity party, but rather to remind you that every time you get , it's another chance to join my Long COVID Cool Kidz Club, and you really don't want to be a member. The dues are too high, theres no easy way to cancel your subscription, and the service is terrible!

Thank you Mastodon and the Fediverse for the laughs, conversations, connectedness and the cat photos..... Sooo many cat photos. You really put the social in social media, you adorable weirdos. ❤️

Whenever I feel shy about being the only masked person around, I think about the woman in this video having a great time rocking out in public, not bothered one bit by all the mood killers around her.

Unfortunately sometimes you have to fit in and pass by unnoticed to survive, but often it's just boring and not worth it. Rock that mask. :mastodance:

You may have followed the tale of little Bucket, our oldest kitty. She was very frail, and for the last 6 months has needed to be fed by syringe. But she wanted to stay for longer than anyone ever thought; this week she let me know it was her time, and she crossed the bridge on Tuesday.

No grief, just so many happy memories of the scraggly little cat who found us back in 2008. Fly high, Bucket, thank you for being my kitty.

    Apropos of nothing, I just had this memory of a type of needlework my neighbor would do when I was a kid. She made dozens of these little signs and we had them all over our (raised Catholic) house.

    I would ask my parents what they said and they'd tell me, incredulously, that it was the name of a prominent religious figure.
