Just slept for eleven hours in a row, and now I'm finally feeling reasonably rested after the past week's assorted mishegas. Sometimes the urge to sleep a whole lot is pure and simple exhaustion, totally aside from any depression going on (and depression is exhausting too, TBH), so I've slowly learned to give myself permission to sleep long and not further upset myself by worrying about it.
Currently accepting applications for Co-Resting cohorts beginning during the first two weeks of April
In response to feeling isolated by chronic illness and appreciative of remote access to community, I host online Co-Resting Groups. They provide a way to gently socialize and rest in community.

I can't bind because of chronic pain, and trans tape isn't holding my tits because it's heavy, I can't do surgery either because it takes more than morphine for me to not suffer, what should I do? I'm lost.
I'm not going to lie: it's been challenging dealing with major fatigue, brain fog, pain, breathlessness, random flare-ups, and an ever growing assortment of medical and mobility aids.
I'm not saying this as a pity party, but rather to remind you that every time you get #Covid, it's another chance to join my Long COVID Cool Kidz Club, and you really don't want to be a member. The dues are too high, theres no easy way to cancel your subscription, and the service is terrible!
Thank you Mastodon and the Fediverse for the laughs, conversations, connectedness and the cat photos..... Sooo many cat photos. You really put the social in social media, you adorable weirdos. ❤️
"scientists in the Netherlands constructed a startling picture of widespread abnormalities in muscle tissue that may explain this severe reaction to physical activity.

Having chronic fatigue means you feel like someone came and drained your life force in the night. I feel as if a vampire sucked me dry but leaves just enough for me to survive.
Y'all ever recover from a nasty #PainFlare or whatever, and feel so good that you fuck yourself by overdoing shit?
Friday night, Hannity the #KidneyStone finally settled into his current home; I did THREE whole chores, then on Sat I picked up a shift at work.
Now I'm paying for my ambition and spending Sunday in bed. I'm bummed - we were gonna have SNACKS at the mid-morning #FriendsMeeting before worship & share our #Convincement stories.
We should have known. It took a deadly pandemic to wake us all up.
This view of #ViralIllnesses and their potential long-term impacts may lead to research that will also help people with other little understood conditions, such as #ChronicFatigue syndrome and #fibromyalgia, which experts believe might be triggered by viral infections, Al-Aly said. #COVID
A lot of the #creakyChats community on Twitter seems to have dissipated since Twitter went kaplooey, but the #Discord channel is still there. It doesn't seem very active these days, but it's there, and we would love to see you if you have #arthritis or a #chronic illness. Come join us, we're nice people.
Doesn't this essentially mean that everyone has to vote for films that aren't their favourite? So the film that wins is the least unliked, or something.
I'm not sure what the purpose of knowing something like that is. Even for fun.
Leave it to a chronically ill patient doing research to restore her own health and vitality to become the Rosetta Stone for one of the possible causes of #MECFS.
My financial institution sent me a letter that basically told me "fuck you for having #LongCOVID and being #immunocompromised, we want you to die, we are gaslighting pieces if shit who think that making people remove their masks "for a short time" doesn't "pose a health risk" and the worst part is they claim that "most financial institutions" would do this, despite them having let me open my account with them while masked. Literally the only thing that changed is now they feel empowered to #discriminate against me based on my #health status.
I would say that identity/security is the reason most people are made to take off masks, like NYC mayor Eric Adams has told small businesses to do. As a bank, they have a right to ask me to identify myself for their security or whatever. However, they were unwilling to work with me on this whatsoever.
I would actually feel way safer doffing my mask in a properly ventilated setting, where there is far less risk. So the drive through interactive teller machine would have been the place I would have been fine with taking it off for a second to identify myself, because it's outside with nobody around in a fairly windy area. But that is the option they provide for people who don't want to take off their mask. It's not very logical.
If they had wanted to identify me they could have me like take off my mask outside and look at me through the window or something, it would not be hard to accommodate me and let me take it off in a ventilated place where it's safe is really the deal.
Instead of working with me on it they just went straight to lying to me telling me that unmasking had always been their policy and that they applied it equally to everyone. I hadn't been asked to take it off before, and I hadn't been asked by the same person when they helped me before.
They didn't notify me of this policy change in any way. The same hoods and sunglasses sign telling people to remove those items that had always been on the door was on the door, and I had always been happy to comply and take off my sunglasses or hood or both, not my mask, and they were always fine with that in the past.
The sign on the exterior facade telling people to remove hoods and sunglasses says nothing about masks. If they have that as a policy then they need to not be cowards about it and ban masks with their chest. They need to say it on the door just like it says hoods and sunglasses. The sign doesn't identify any other type of apparel, just those two. That's what I want them to do, if they are going to take this stance then they need to take it publicly and loudly. This is a very anti-mask place. I'm sure most of the local community would support them on it, and they probably won't even lose much business. But they need to say it openly, that's what I want from them. Make it crystal clear that they are engaged in #discrimination against the members of their credit union based on #health status and being #immuncompromised with #ChronicFatigue caused by #LongCOVID. If they will add to their signs that customers must remove their masks in the underventilated indoor setting of the bank branch interior in order to be served, I would be satisfied, because at least nobody else would have to go through the same refusal of service I experienced for trying to protect myself against #COVID19.
