@qaz No. I use XFCE. I tried Plasma not even a year ago. Moving windows around made the low frame rate obvious.

Boah, ist Dropbox asozial geworden. Früher konnte man über einen Klick auf einen Share-Link einfach die geteilte Datei herunterladen.

Mittlerweile wird so getan, als müsse man sich einloggen. Darunter dann ein kleiner Link, über den es doch auch ohne Account geht. Und das 2x.

Ziemlich aufdringlich, nervig und irreführend.

Palestinians are not "indigenous". There are no indigenous people in the Jordan valley, the regionhas been colonised again and again by one empire after another for thousands of years, dating back to the late Stone Age. @LordCaramac I'm 53 and my entire life I've heard nothing good come out of the Middle East and Isreal. It's an endless stream of violence and bullshit. The only reason the rest of world cares is oil. This includes Isreal. If there was no oil in the region, Isreal would be S.O.L.

    I'm rewatching and it's even funnier the second time. While it clearly has very specific Australian cultural touchstones, if you're from any small town in the Western world, it still feels very familiar. You've known people like this. The clash of modern sensibilities and conservative small town mentality will resonate with people, even if they aren't from Australia. It's also a great with clever twists and turns. I hope a second series happens.

    The stock xfce4-panel Clock *calendar for some weird reason has the week number hard coded. So you can't hide it. I can't think of a single time in my life I thought to myself, "gee, I wonder what week out of 52 we are currently in". This is such a strange choice.

    *edit, I didn't specify I was writing about the calendar that pops up when clicking on the clock.

    Well, I tried to accept #AI and view it as simply a new tool in the #artist arsenal. It's not. It's t̶e̶c̶h̶n̶o̶l̶o̶g̶y̶ #capitalists exploiting technology to turn us into drones with no creative outlet. AI will break #society. It will be worse than the #WorldWideWeb. Despite sci-fi literature and movies speculating on how AI might affect the world, it will be far more catastrophic than anyone could imagine. #Capitalism assures the worst possible outcome. The #singularity is supercharged capitalism.

    I should hate this. The stupid Adidas tracksuits, the silly cringy kicks from the guitarist who looks like someone's drunken uncle stumbled onto a music video set. The bassist guy with the mullet and porn-stache looks like the other drunken uncle is suffering a hangover. But dammit, this song kicks ass. The same goes for their other videos. Watching them, I want to facepalm through the back of my head, but the music rocks.

    I didn't used to be a "militant" user, but I've been bitten too many times by companies with . For example, DAW, - both companies that decided to say fuck you to perpetual licenses. Now, I try to avoid any proprietary application. I recently went looking for a good notes app and everyone loves . As soon as I saw it was closed source, I noped out and settled on . These companies will eventually fuck over customers so I won't waste my time.
