The http://alt-text.org alt text library project needs a new leader, because I have brain cancer.

I would like to connect with the #accessibility dev community, something I have never figured out, probably in part for neurodivergence reasons. I want to hand the project off to a team or a leader if anyone is willing to take it over.

How do I tell Heroku to not install install the #nodejs buildpack at all?

(and remediate this WARNING on every deploy)

Today I found out that the UK’s 3G mobile service is going to be switched off soon.

Older phones that don’t support 4G won’t be able to use mobile data after the switch off.

Phone calls and text messages will still work on 2G - unless they’re on the 3 network (which doesn’t have 2G).

Most networks are switching off this year, except 02 which is delaying until next year.

If you have friends or relatives with older phones, let them know.

Observation: I absolutely wouldn't build a long term project using Nextjs without having full time development resource able to perpetually support the project.

Why? The API surface changes way too much and often.

A project like JS Bin, 16 years old, would have required constant support ALL of the time to keep it running.

Instead, it used express, which is a relatively "basic" pattern, but the complexity hasn't changed.

I enjoy Next for quick and dirty, but decade+… I don't think so.
