Ok, besluit. Zonde om Mastodon te verlaten, maar deze server kost me net te veel. Ik heb dus een andere, iets kleinere, server opgezet en gebruikers van deze kunnen daar naartoe. Als die nieuwe te traag wordt, dan moet er geld bij en dat ga ik dan niet helemaal zelf betalen. De nieuwe heeft dezelfde hostname, maar dan zonder de m. Mocht je hulp nodig hebben bij het overzetten, roep dan ff. Deze server gaat nog steeds per 1 november plat.

@kylewritescode yes, on two machines to a Synology NAS. Never had to use the backup though, but I like the background noise of those ‘old fashioned’ spinning drives. ;)

When you really think about it, it's utterly baffling that we've reached a state where the expected norm is that you literally aren't allowed to do some kind of labor (code) in your own time, because it 100% belongs to your employer.

@redegelde @NiemPseu Ik ben IT'er, maar weet nog steeds niet wat ik van IT op school moet vinden. Als ik om me heen kijk, krijg ik altijd het gevoel dat kinderen er niet heel veel gevoel voor computers door krijgen. Maar ja, ik weet niets van onderwijs en kinderen.
