A new friend has arrived. They like to hang out here for some reason, though it's been raining this week so they've had to hide elsewhere when the water is pouring out of the downspout. I guess he's just the right size to hide in there in case one of the neighborhood cats comes a-prowling.

I saw someone pine for the good old days when you could right click on a website and see all the code that ran a web page.

Back in the day, when you could do that, you really couldn't make sense of it because the code was generated by Microsoft FrontPage which was famous for producing the equivalent of gibberish when it came to producing parsable HTML.

So yeah, back in the "good old days" most web site code bases were not readable, even if it was code you could "read" with your eyeballs.

Hey, Saint Paul resident here.

I see a lot of calls to "burn it all down" with regards to the pro-Palestinian protests.

We had the George Floyd protests here a few years ago. There was, indeed, a fair amount of burning it all down, much of it caused by outside agitators but not all.

This does not hurt the people you think you are hurting. Arson tends to hit small businesses owned by minority owners. Some are still recovering.

So yeah, cool it with the arson talk, even if you're "joking".
