In the mood for a music star biopic, anybody know any movies where the musician or musicians have a dream to "make it" and they do songs and some bold capitalist person recognizes their talents and they're close to "making it" but OH NO someone has an emotional or drug issue that might derail their "making it" train but then they overcome that and "make it" and have a triumphal music show to demonstrate their triumph?

High School early in the year brutal heatwave. The intermural sport teams came dressed in long shorts which was against the dress code and were promptly sent home, they all came back at lunch together wearing skirts that adhered to the dress code. The football team was something to behold cruising into the lunch line.

That was the final year of that paragraph of the dress code.
