I was late in my self acceptance due to religious and social pressure, I knew who I am from a young age, and the disability that I am born with... people kept telling me they were trying to "pray it away" and/or "cure" me while trying to assimilate me into their "norms". After 23 years, I finally denounced the "norms" and "views" finding myself anew. I will never go back, only forward.
I wish I could thank the few people that told me it was okay to be myself back then, as well as all the people who will remind me to be myself into the future.
Right, Mastodon. 3 years ago, I started a #Masters in #GraphicDesign. And then due to a combination of factors - Brexit and Covid being the main ones, I lost my job.
Since then, I've had two new jobs and been made redundant (again).
But things finally seem stable. And I'm picking up where I left off.
So as of this afternoon I'm a part time masters student again. 😁
It's very exciting and also rather nerve-wracking but I'm really looking forward to it. 😊
I feel like the dumbest digital designer, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to optimize my social media graphics so they don’t look like pixelated garbage. I’ve read tutorials and watched YouTube videos, but whatever I’m doing is clearly wrong and it’s making me feel crazy. Is it because I’m making web graphics in Indesign? Is it the resolution? Is 150 not good enough? Too good? I’ve been doing this for years but I still can’t figure this out.
