Merry Christmas 🎄 from #ChihuahuasForClimateAction here in #Naarm (Melbourne), chilling out on the couch in the constant rain 🌧️ on Christmas Day.
Such a busy year for us and and we are not even two years old. Wishing peace (but knowing the dogs of war👹 🚷 are loose in Palestine) while the #climateCrisis that threatens all humans, and all species, continues unabated, with the barest acknowledgement of the root cause at the recent UN climate conference.
We'll be back into the fray barking for #ClimateJustice with Dad in 2024.
Rest and recuperate doggies and humans, we have a world, a planet, to win together.🐶 🐶
My non-Jewish friends, do you find yourself feeling awkward when a #Jew wishes you a #MerryChristmas? Unsure what to say? Let me help you!
When a Jew wishes you a Merry Christmas, think of it like them wishing you a Happy Anniversary or Happy Birthday. It's a good wish to you, and to you alone.
Don't wish them a Merry Christmas back. If someone wishes you a Happy Birthday and you know it's not their birthday, you don't need to wish them a Happy Birthday back!
Don't mention Hanukkah. If someone wishes you and your spouse a Happy Anniversary, you don't need to say "Didn't you and your partner recently have an anniversary too?"
Wishing them Happy Holidays is OK, but unnecessary. If someone wishes you a Happy Birthday you don't need to say "I hope you have a good day too!"
I do not know you and, in all likelihood, most of us will never know each other.
None of that matters.
What matters is you, yes, YOU, and all those who read this, share this same world. It is my truest Christmas wish that you see more of what you have in common with one another. That we all come to understand, that we have it in us to make a better world.
I wish you all good health, good fortune, and a long life filled with peace, love, and happiness.
In this beautiful holiday night I want to make sure that you, YES YOU, know that you are loved, that you are seen, that you matter in the fabric of this Universe. You are part of the tapestry of life and I am glad and blessed by your existence! #chritsmas #ChristmasEve #merrychristmas #silentsunday
Not to be a bummer but.. Bethlehem cancelled #Christmas and most Canadian and American Christian churches won’t acknowledge it. The Pope called Israel terrorists, and most everyone is just going on like everything is totally normal….
#NorthernWisconsin#ChristmasEve Nearly 50°F/10°C outside today. I'm guessing that we may be getting close to some record temps today/tomorrow. Last year around this time we already had a foot of snow. I think NOAA out of Duluth has only recorded ~4 green Christmas Eves/Days in the last 70 years. This is WILD.
It's so wild, that when I checked my mushroom logs, I happened upon a good handful of Blue Oysters. Yum!
new version of Improvisation be out for chribmas! some new modifier effects, food crafting, and yea! go give it a looksee and stuff and have a good holiday and stuff!
Holiday hours are sometimes rather difficult to navigate. Celebrations and parties, presents and family and good tidings are often so very hectic.
We are creatures of habit and routine. Even if you aren't, well...we can discuss that another time but my point is...this is an atypical time of year. That is stressful and tiring.
If you are an introvert, seek the shelter you need. If you are an extrovert, be kind to those of us hiding in quiet rooms and corners.
Regardless of your personality or social needs, make some time for yourself. Sit down and focus on you and your needs even if only for 10 minutes a day.
Personally? I find it helpful to go on walks or get some air on a porch or balcony.
Take the time so that you don't overwhelm yourself and burn out. We all have hectic lives and holidays add that little extra. Don't let it be too much.
