Today is both the autumn eqinox and time for this: https://www.skogsmaran.se/
Those passing my window on the finishing 200m are still running (at 12.15)
The less fit will come walking later …
We have had some serious rain this morning, to the extent that even the magpies sat under roof on the patio, so those passing are not only tired but also very wet. #sarassummer23
Me? I stay inside preparing meatloaf … #cooking#weather#autumn#running

Autumn is like a tree's party where they all throw their leaves in the air and yell 'Woo-hoo!'
Der Herbst ist wie ein Fest der Bäume, bei dem sie alle ihre Blätter in die Luft werfen und "Juhu" rufen.
I've got five items on my list called: Outdoor Things I Definitely Must Do Before Winter. I'm trying to find optimal timing relative to rain, desk work and fluctuating enthusiasm to tick them all off.
Forced myself to get the first one (deck sand & stain) addressed this afternoon, but it spawned a new task to repair some rotting wood.
I'll now add that to a list called: Things Discovered Doing the Other Things And Which Also Must Be Done Before Winter.

Sure I know the science behind changing leaves, but I prefer to think of #Autumn as a reminder that there’s still magic in this great big world. #Nature
Evening all how are you? I just went to Lister park in Bradford this afternoon. So glad I did as i came across this little stream. Thankfully I had my wellies in the car as I had to stand in the stream to shoot this. Even better there wasnt' a breath of wind so shot this at 1second #autumn#fall#landscape#yorkshire#westyorkshire#photo#photography#sony#bradford
This was taken on our trip through Ontario one October. Steven was teaching his workshops in Ottawa so I got to explore the countryside. The weather was bright and the leaves reflected in the water had a rich golden tone. They almost looked like a mosaic. I feel warmer just looking at this and remembering how peaceful it all was.
Happy Tuesday all!
A few minutes ago, I went into the family room to get a memory stick out of my camera. I let the dogs out did something else and came back into my office and sat down. Then I realized that I didn't get the memory stick (irony?), so I got back up and went back to get the stick. I do this a lot with different things. I'll go into a room with a purpose to get something and leave without the thing I wanted. Sometimes, I will have gone back more than once for the same thing before finally successfully putting my hands on the item of interest. I suppose, this is the power of distraction.
“There is never a time when new distraction will not show up; we sow them, so several will grow from the same seed.” - Seneca
