Photographers are practically obligated to get a shot of The Tree when visiting the Portland Japanese Garden in autumn. This year, there was good reason. The Tree sported two-tone foliage – bright golden-yellow by the pond, deep red-orange near the path, giving it a very different look from my previous visits.
One from the archives. Taken at Bark Camp State Park in Ohio on October, 2009. I remember buying my first circular polarizer filter and was absolutely amazed by the results of the reflections I was getting. A little too much post-processing here, but I was young. Browsing these old photos really makes me want to get back into the hobby.
