Good Morning, House in the Trees - We've got a wet weekend ahead of us here. Got out at sunrise (sans sun) looking for some shapes in the trees and fog.
Mystery Dogwood. A shrub I collected locally, it's either Gray Dogwood or Roughleaf Dogwood (or a natural hybrid). It's been hard to positively identify this shrub!
It's filling a gap in the row of non-native lilacs.
Unlike Canned Heat (showing my age) it’s not bullfrogs but #woodlands that are currently on my mind. And feeling the need to respond to them creatively, and high on their phytoncides, here’s some #Origami#Trees made out of old #Geology#Maps superimposed with the occasional #Photo of the #Woods that inspired me. #DoubleExposure#Abstract
Today is #NewstodonFriday, a day to feature work from newsrooms that have an active presence in the #Fediverse. If you like what you see in the thread below, follow the profiles and boost their stories. If you're a journo or newsroom that we don't know about (or there's someone that should be on our radar), please comment below.
We loved this story from @thexylom on how the 200,000 trees planted by Ecosia and the Jane Goodall Institute in the Budongo-Bugoma Corridor of Uganda are changing lives.
