For when it’s still #FintasticFriday but #Baturday is just around the corner…

Trying out bat (the cat(1) alternative) for the first time, and … I dunno, the flushing behavior seems bonkers.
I assume it's because stdout and stderr end up in separate places, and maybe cat isn't innocent here either, but having the output split inside of an escape code (note the "31m") looks like there's something really wrong.
("bar" does not exist; that's on purpose to produce an error message.)
More updates will follow, and if you like my projects, a coffee is appreciated: https://ko-fi.com/metinseven ☕😊 But I'm already happy with a favorite and/or boost. 🙂
On our trip to Austin in March, we went along the Colorado River and made our way to the Congress Avenue Bridge. The bridge is home to the largest urban bat colony in the world. While it was daytime, you can hear a light chitter of the resident safe in their homes underneath.
Loft/Industrial type table mood lamp reimagined from old kerosene lamp.
I cut off the bottom of the old kerosene tank, the unnecessary parts, and got a natural cherry wood base to which I attached the luminaire, and the E14 socket, in which a 5W conventional bulb provides mood light. It received a standard swing switch cable.
I also replaced the breath-thin glass lens with a more stylishly matched, stronger piece.
Close ups from today's find.
A Brown Long Eared Bat, found upstairs, sadly deceased.
No idea how he got there but should be hibernating somewhere nice and cosy at this time of year, not on a window sill behind the shutters ☹️
Sometimes, when working on a character's design, they talk more about what's going to happen to them in the story than their appearance. When that happens, NOBODY gets anything done. #comics#furry#webcomic#webcomictalk#wip#bat
