Say what you will about #Starfield but getting to build your own ship, especially off the hull of something you captured is a really fun and rewarding experience.
Here's my first B-Class ship, The Revenge.
Now, if only the processes around the fun bits weren't so darn yankie and fiddly.
So as a #GamePass subscriber I was going to wait for #Starfield, although a huge fan of the #ElderScrolls and moderate fan of #Fallout, I wasn't really looking forward to Starfield, but I got the Premium Upgrade pass a couple of days ago to play it early.
Actually surprised how solid it seems to be on launch. If the same holds true for the Elder Scrolls VI we should be in a good place!
Morning Folks! While I shared some of this on the podcast yesterday, I spent some time this morning talking about my early impressions of #Starfield after some thirteen hours in the game. I'm really enjoying myself, but also spend quite a bit talking about some of the failings of the game systems.
With Starfield's pre-production having begun in autumn 2015, some Bethesda employees have been working on the game for eight years. And for most of them, at least five years. Hats off to them. #starfield#game#scifi#conceptart#bethesda
My God, #Starfield truly is the best Bethesda game to date. It's everything I wanted. Rarely did ANY media suck me in so quickly that I've lost complete track of time. I just wanted to take a quick look before bed (at 2 am), and suddenly it was 7 am. Todd, you son of an Ashta...
@kaiserkiwi I get you’re looking for reasons NOT to play something, but c’mon.
I was totally blown away by my first couple hours playing #Starfield. It’s actually my first Bethesda game, so I don’t have any baggage or lowered expectations or whatever when it comes to their reputation for buggy games.
The game does indeed feel very polished and it feels like No Man’s Sky’s older brother. It’s gorgeous! Haven’t come across any bugs yet that I recall.
My only minor gripe is the text on the HUD can sometimes be hard to read because of the HUD being translucent.
Other than that, I’m very pleased and can’t wait to play more! It gives me a reason to use my Xbox Series X more. It’s the space game I’ve always dreamed of.
This is coming from an unbiased opinion from someone who is neither a #Bethesda or #Xbox fan. But I must confess that I am a Pokémon fan and I love Scarlet and Violet. Stark contrast with the polish, let me tell you!
There's a quote from Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. “Space is big,” he writes. “You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the drug store, but that's just peanuts to...
Well this was a lovely surprise waiting at home for me today! I don't normally do anything physical for Xbox (and the game is only a code for this) but I couldn't pass up all the other bits and pieces you get. Can't wait to play #Starfield #Xbox#Microsoft#Bethesda#ShareYourGames#ConstellationEdition
I feel absolutely NO excitement for #Starfield and it feels weird considering how much excitement is out there. And also how much I loved Skyrim all these years ago.. I don't remember the last time I felt like that. I think the "you can explore 1,000 planets" gave me such a big "yikes", that I lost all interest in it. Those planets are obviously generated and that's NOT what I want in a Bethesda game. Not to such a degree anyway. It's wild.
But glad it's seeing good reviews. #gaming#bethesda
#Starfield PC Performance: How Much GPU Do You Need?
Tom's Hardware is testing Starfield on a bunch of graphics cards to see how they run, with and without FSR 2 upscaling. The latest RPG from #Bethesda promises a massive world, and Tom's Hardware is here to determine how much PC you'll need to run it.
Impressions: Starfield’s sheer scale is already giving me vertigo (arstechnica.com)
