So, with #Ghost also adding #activitypub I was wondering if there's a way to distinguish each service within the protocol. So say you follow 50 people in 20 different services, all activitypub. Now you basically have a huge list of content with basically no grouping, filtering or anything. Isn't that just a huge mess? Can clients recognize what the content is and how to display it in a sane way? Split by service type or something?

Ok.. I unironically really like the #wikipedia app. Showcasing random articles, most read of the day, recommended edits etc. quite interesting and enjoyable (which surprises me tbh).

Edit: I think it's because it gives you interesting things to read, without all the negativity and dark pattern, clickbait bullshit from modern news.

Oh shit, my #homeassistant green is on its way (also some light bulbs and a zigbee stick). With a bit of luck I'm able to get it today.. if not, most likely tomorrow. Hell yea. Can't wait to replace my Synology docker container thingy. It works fine but doesn't support certain things (and updating is a pain) so yay!

Things I've enjoyed include Haruhi Suzumiya, Excel Saga, Evangelion, Gurrenn Lagann, Cowboy Bebop, most things Ghibli, everything Satoshi Kon, Mushishi, Memories, Escaflowne, Berserk, Gunbuster, Serial Experiments Lain, Ghost in the Shell.

Good sci-fi/dark stories/anthology shows/feel-good/slice of life, I guess. #anime #crunchyroll

Was mich an der wachsenden Zahl von #Apps für #Mastodon fasziniert, sind die Unterschiede bei der Darstellung der Timeline(s). Selbst ein und derselbe Account sieht da teilweise komplett anders aus und es kann sich sogar lohnen, mehrere Apps im Wechsel zu nutzen.

Besonders ist mir das durch die noch recht junge @rodentapp aufgefallen. Die finde ich total spannend, auch wenn ich noch nicht weiß, ob/wie hilfreich es wirklich ist.

Imma be real with you guys... it's been many years, but I still don't think the "#Microsoft #Office ribbon" (image attached) for settings and stuff is good. Sure, it looks pretty.. but that's about it. It's a downgrade when it comes to usability.. a massive one imo. I may be the only one, but I click through those tabs 20 times before I find the right setting for something I use less often and it annoys me. Even after all these years.

Would be amazing if @simplelogin would not ban my IP for 5 minutes everytime I want to open the website on Linux with Firefox. It's apparently an issue for at least a year according to some online searching and you'd think a service focused on such a use-case (owned by privacy focused @protonmail) would not have such issues when using privacy focused tools. Maybe it's my DNS (nextdns) or whatever, but it's annoying af and quite literally the only website with such issues.

I feel absolutely NO excitement for #Starfield and it feels weird considering how much excitement is out there. And also how much I loved Skyrim all these years ago.. I don't remember the last time I felt like that. I think the "you can explore 1,000 planets" gave me such a big "yikes", that I lost all interest in it. Those planets are obviously generated and that's NOT what I want in a Bethesda game. Not to such a degree anyway. It's wild.
But glad it's seeing good reviews.
