Thanks! Along with #eattherich; I'm slowly building my collection of hashtags where people openly endorse violence against others just because they disagree with them or are envious of them.
@AlexanderKingsbury@liaizon dear Alexander, I'll pardon you for thinking, that wanting to depose of the profiteers of systemic global inequality and all the structural violence their reign implies can only possibly come down to a difference of opinion or indeed envy, if you pardon me for thinking that some are born with a golden spoon and others with a boot in their mouth
Desperate to hold onto their ever-shrinking workforce, but still unwilling to walk back their ignorance and lose face, Dell management thinks, “hey, let's screw our healthiest, most productive employees using whatever leverage we have left,” is the way?
And they get paid enormous salaries for this kind of performance that would get anyone else fired for being obviously dense:
"Senior execs somehow think that people in the office are more productive than at home, even though there's no evidence to back that up."
"There's also a "pack mentality" at play, says Cooper, with tech companies trying to follow what everybody else is doing, rather than continue with what has worked for them."
It says a lot about our times that (IMHO) when choosing a phone, #Apple feels like the lesser of the two evils. They at least mostly care about privacy.
"As environmental, social and humanitarian crises escalate, the world can no longer afford two things: first, the costs of economic inequality; and second, the rich."
Not only that, but there is strong evidence that the lives of the wealthy will improve, even as they get poorer.
So stop trying to #EatTheRich (the thought of which is gross and unsettling) and, instead, help them live their best lives by taxing the ever-living hell out of them.
Here's your Monday motivation to give yourself a random award in your living room today. You will still deserve it way more than this embarrassing joke of a woman.
Nita Ambani felt that Nita Ambani deserved an award hence Nita Ambani made sure that Nita Ambani gets an award at Nita Mukesh Ambani cultural centre
#Budget#UKPolitics This article by Gary Stevenson is so good, please read every word of it.
“Whatever Jeremy Hunt says, traders know the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. And they’re paid millions to bet on it.”
This is what the world is - it is run by a minute elite for a minute elite and the rest of us, the masses, the natural world, we just don’t count. It is a #TragedyOftheNonCommons (will reshare my own piece on this below 1/n)
@jackofalltrades@pvonhellermannn Look at capitalism from the perspective of the mid-18th century: it's a fantastic way to take the little surplus in society and create a larger surplus. The fact that the surplus is not shared equitably is less important than the idea of making more surplus, because almost everyone is one bad harvest or one new virus away from an early death.
Now it's 300 years later. The planet mostly creates enough calories for our massive population to live without the constant threat of starvation. We've got enough medical care to live most people a decent life span.
Now we can afford to reign in the excesses and transition to something more equitable.
