I designed a printable 3D model of the kids' beds from Bluey! This was super fun and rewarding as my preschooler has a bunch of the Bluey character figures and wanted to make their bedroom. I used stills from the show as reference, but proportioned it to fit the figures nicely.
This is my toy account, where I will be posting new toys, dolls, and figurines. I'm not looking to improve my photography; I'm just hoping to motivate myself to do something about my backlog of unopened toys.
Remember STEM? Remember when children were destined to all become programmers? Back then you couldn’t move for STEM toys in the discount bin. Here’s a drumming robot I got for ten bux and finally assembled today. I so much know betterer about programming now. Because punched cards. #stem#toys#musicproduction
As briefly mentioned on a previous episode of Humanist Trek, Sarah's brother-in-law's Star Trek collection has now fully moved into the studio. Sarah and Allie jump on a video call to talk about all the things. And in this way, we will continue to keep Jeff's memory alive. #StarTrek#Collectibles#Props#Toys
I didn't grow up with Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z. I stopped having cable at home in the early 90s. So, my first real experience with Dragon Ball Z was in college. I had a roommate who would watch subtitled episodes late at night really loud, which annoyed me. I avoided the franchise for that reason for a long while.
In 2019, I picked up a copy of Dragon Ball FighterZ because of how highly it was rated. I fell in love with it immediately. Such an amazing fighting game. In December, Viz's Shonen Jump service dropped and allowed you access to their full archive of manga for certain series. Dragon Ball was among them. I decided to read the manga to get the backstory of these characters. I became enthralled and within three months had read all of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Super.
Since then, I have plowed through so much manga from Akira Toriyama. From Cowa to Sandland to a ton of stuff in between. His influence on the anime and manga industry will be felt for generations to come.
Here's a picture of a few of the Bandai model kits I have of Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan forms.
Rest in Peace, Toriyama. Thank you for all you have given us over the years. May your family and fans be comforted following your passing.
I finally got around to building my Rowlet model kit!
This little guy is just too cute. I took a few pics in front of my Pokémon Sun / Moon manga before bringing the little guy into the office to hang out with my Eevee model kit.
I love these little kits and can't wait to find more of them!
Beloved #toys: a pair of #Roman ivory #dolls with articulated arms and legs found in a tomb of a little #girl from a wealthy family in Emona, Ljubljana/#Slovenia. The majority of the dolls in Roman times were made of less valuable materials such as clay, wood or linen.
The two dolls that could be dressed with clothes must have been very precious to the girl who died far too young.
Dating 2nd half of the 3rd c. AD.
Years after they came out, I found randomly a mini-Tubbz Sonic the Hedgehog Cosplay Duck at a store, so picked one up. I think it looks good next to this custom Sonic artwork that my sister got for me years ago.
Found this custom arcade set from Brickloot (it uses and includes real LEGO bricks) sealed and unassembled at Goodwill the other day for pennies. REALLY cool little build. Haven't put on decals yet. Might wanna make my own.
G-Creation Knight Optimus sat on G-Creation Wrath (Value version) as was always intended but I've only just done today as finally gotten around to transforming Grimlock back into dino mode so here this photo. 🙂
