Always squat in a rack, kids! I just fell with 276 on my back. If I had been raw-dogging it or just using squat stands, I'd be in a world of hurt. Instead the safeties caught me and nothing was injured but my pride.
(Also, maybe don't try to switch between low-bar and high-bar mid set. I'm pretty sure that's why I lost my balance in the first place.)

I avoided it for four years, but covid finally caught me.
Seeking advice from other active/athletic folks... how long did you wait post-covid to resume exercise?
Running is the main thing I'm worried about because of heart rate, but also climbing and weightlifting. I'll wait as long as I need to... my goal is to avoid long term health problems.

What I changed was basically rotating my feed a little bit more outwards which allowed me to keep my chest more upwards and getting a overall more stable position.

Dang, gotta wait an entire week for my new #weightlifting shoes. Also it's amazing that only having to wait a week is "rough" now. There was a time not terribly long ago that a week was great. Sometimes I wonder if life would improve in a lot of ways if we went back to that being more the norm too.
Today’s #weightlossjourney metrics, I’m officially now at the lowest point I’ve been in waist size and weight. 5 inches lost in 26 days on the waist. I think the changes to making quick meals being just going to Whole Foods and grabbing pre marinated chicken and air frying it with a bag of rice as a “lazy meal” instead of ordering is helping the bank and the gut. Yesterdays fitness and todays results. Still hovering around 200 lbs but closer to 44” on the waist again we’re only 23 days in of measuring metrics. Just been trying to squeeze working out in between taking care of the puppy and some diet changes #exercise#weightloss#fitness#weightlifting
Back down to almost having a 44” waist. I want to see about getting to 40” and see where we go from there but I’m still under 200 lbs right now. I’ve also stopped eating anything after 8PM. Been almost a month of recording my metrics and over a month I’ve started getting back to exercise with a break of a week getting the puppy on a schedule #fitness#exercise#weightloss#weightlifting
I’ve lost a little more than 10 lbs in two weeks along with almost 4 inches on the waist. Just goes to show you how easy weight loss actually can be with a little discipline. I actually don’t count calories for the most part but I just am sensible even when eating out. Hell yesterday I had Wendy’s and then jerked chicken from a restaurant for dinner. #fitness#exercise#weightloss#weightlifting
Officially under 200 lbs for the first time since before COVID! I have lost a few inches on the waist as well. I can notice the belt getting tighter too.
I will definitely be in shape by #DEFCON hell I may be in shape before spring at this rate. Let this be a lesson to everyone you can lose the weight if you discipline yourself and I’m not doing anything crazy. I’m losing more weight now at 10 lbs in about a month. Also lost a few inches but yoyojng on BMI and I see to go through spurts of growing and losing so I think that’s muscle building from my intense workout days.
