There's something about this tenement on Battlefield Road in Glasgow which really appeals to me. It's a very simple building, but it still carries itself with an air of confidence.
The beautiful and unique Battlefield Rest Tram Shelter on the Southside of Glasgow. Designed by Frank Burnet and Boston, it was opened in 1915. The original plan was to have similar shelters across the city's extensive tram network, but this was the only one which was ever built.

Love this weather vane on a corner tenement in the Battlefield area of Glasgow. The tenement itself dates from 1876, but the weather vane is a newer addition and is dated 1988.
Formal metal detecting survey recently undertaken ahead of house-building in Barnet, just inside the Registered Battlefield.

The Asus ROG Ally is nice and really fast. But it has a problem that it can’t solve: #Windows. When it works, it’s great. When Windows rears it’s head, it’s just annoying.
Windows just wasn’t built for a tiny handheld without a keyboard and mouse.
The Asus software is also terribad.
I also got it thinking I could play #CallOfDuty and #Battlefield on it, but the sticks have really wonky deadzones.

I mean, all the old movies and tv shows seemed to believe that at this point we would have flying cars.
It really couldn’t be further from the truth. In a world where we were supposed to have it all, we’ve completely lost the plot. It’s more of a 1984 world than it is a Jetsons world–and that is probably an understatement.
I know we’ve used up all of our luck, and I can see places where it is clear we have faltered. What else is there to do but bide our time waiting for the water wars? Climate change is… climate changing. It’s only a matter of time now, isn’t it?
We’re too far gone.
There’s nothing we can do aside from prepare and brace for impact.
