Meanwhile, in Canada, police will be investigating whether police pigheadedness led to deaths on Canada’s busiest highway.

It will be a nuanced report, you may be assured. With dash of excuse and a pinch of exoneration.

Wait for it (do not hold breath).

rep: The reason co-worker cannot use business checking to pay business credit card is because you aren't a signer. Here is paperwork to make you a signer on the checking.

That doesn't make sense to us. Why can co-worker who is signer not pay card online with checking account because I'm not a signer. Plus, I shouldn't be signer as I do the books on this account.

Chase rep: OK, here's paperwork to remove you as a signer.

Huh?

Anyone in the UK opened a bank account recently?

I'm thinking of moving my account and was going to go with Starling or Monzo (my company account is with the former) but thought I'd see if Chase was worth a look

A chirpy email from the bank about Changes To Your Privacy Policy that ends with

"We'll share some of your data with fraud-prevention agencies ... This .. helps prevent fraud ... Just so you know – if your account’s involved in fraud, you could be refused certain services such as mortgages or getting a job."

Better get the details right then, lads, hadn't you?

FourT4,

Rude bank email update:

I'm really sorry to do this to you but this has become one of those Dreadful Warning messages you get on fbook.

Contacted the bank who replied.along the lines of "WTF?? It wasn't from us! Pleeease tell us you didn't click any links!"

Duly fwded the original to the phishing-report email.

This fooled me, and I thought my phish-antenna is good (comes naturally to a Roach).

Beware the fake privacy policy email.

People are clearly using VirusTotal to scan their site (as much as that as possible), and it was last scanned 3 minutes ago. Really makes you wonder if this is a false positive on Chrome's part, but does make me wonder why Firefox doesn't want to load at all.

I kinda want to just leave for a while, but I have real job-related work to do!

Just got an email from saying they've updated their services agreement. If I want to know what's changed here is a thousand pages I can read and if I don't like it I can just stop using .

BobRobertsonXI,

@the5thColumnist I received a similar notice from Bank this week. No indication of what changed, just 'Accept' or don't access my accounts electronically.

The onus needs to be on the side changing their to explain what exactly has changed. Otherwise forcing users to just accept shouldn't be legally binding.

announces that as of 15 October 2023 they will be discontinuing "Text Banking services."

I'm a texter as much as anyone (used to use Twitter's text interface), but I never was even aware of text banking.

This, btw, doesn't affect notifications via text.
