I'm so damn sick of Discord being the platform where so many projects (FOSS and otherwise) do their community, collaboration, and support. That app is a confusing hot mess and gives me anxiety every time I open it.
If you "install" #Discord as a desktop app on macOS using "Add to Dock" from Safari, you can open multiple windows at once. So frustrating that you can't do this with the macOS or iPasOS app.

Wir haben als FOSS-Community genug tools entwickelt, die ohne diesen Blödsinn auskommen und rennen dann trotzdem zu diesen Proprietär-Affen....
@kaffeeringe@saiki Da ist die Dezentralität Vorteil und Nachteil zugleich. Menschen möchten eine Anlaufstelle für alles haben und nicht immer neue Plattformen suchen, sich ggf. anmelden und so mehr Overhead schaffen. Kenne ich von mir selbst.
What I love about #Discord is that one of it's primary paid features is "set different icons in different servers" and after 8 years or so it still only works about 60% of the time max

Just TapTap isn't quite enough for Unique Branding so I'm trying to google juice my old stuff to my new stuff, I'll probably mostly just go by TapTap once everything's moved over fully
@sharan My server has a decent amount of gamers and/or masto users, though it's not quite specifically for that! We're chill though, LGBT friendly and all
So evidently Element now has screen sharing and voice chat integrated in an “always on” room. All with encrypted messages. Making a really strong case for me to potentially ditch Revolt. But moving my friends yet again might be impossible #foss#matrix#discord#revolt#element
