no, not a horse racing simulator, a horse race BETTING simulator, where you... simulate betting on simulated horses.

kkarhan,
@kkarhan@mstdn.social avatar

@EeveeEuphoria the problem may not be the intricacy of the DRM, I'm pretty shure it's not even close in complexity to the on dongle or some shitty .

It's just that those capable would do it for fame and/or profit, thus they are motivated by more popular titles on mainstream platforms than exotic and weird havkjobs of arcades...

I.e. I'm shure Data East's DECO (tape-based) Arcade - didn't get hacked (yet?) because it ain't interesting...

You can also set up an account on Libro.fm then go to libro.fm/gift to gift yourself (or others) instead of buying them at list price the vast majority of audio-books can be bought at $15 a piece w/ book credits. You do not have to subscribe to the book of a month to get them at $15. And you can start out getting just a two book credit bundle and use them when you want. Good way to get book at a decent cost.

Hey ! While you were going all in on your own player in your app so you could implement , you neglected to provide a RW, FF, or even a BUFFER if I choose to pause! You even couldn't implement a function that works correctly all the time!

Go back to the built-in player! It has that shit built in!

Just so everyone knows, when they did this, they disabled ! They also enabled across ALL of their O&O channel lineup!

Last night, as a result of me fiddling with a Blu-Ray audio CD that I received as part of a collection that was destined for the dumpster, I decided to re-read how to play Blu-Ray region locked content on a Linux system again with fresh eyes.

My previous attempt, failed when I got to a page which blocked me from playing my legally acquired with my capitalist tokens Liz and the Blue Bird disc, because my player was apparently not in the right region.

Digging around a bit last night, I found out PC Blu-Ray players are region free by design, so that meant the region-lock error was probably erroneous.

This time, aided by the reliable Arch Wiki at https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Blu-ray

I followed the steps for setting up the environment, and to copy KEYDB.cfg to the right folder, and voila, Liz and the Blue Bird, now playable!

Most people just don't appreciate just how important is to and . Thank god Mozart and Beethoven had and Content ID policing on their songs or else they would never have made a name for themselves. Also thank god that famous fairytale writers like Hans Christian Anderson, Brüder Grimm and Charles Perrault had their content copyrighted for eternity, or else an evil corporation like would totally have stolen their stories and gotten rich off their work!

My partner purchased the new Zelda game and won't let me play: "this user is not authorised to run this game". Even though it's on the same device in which where she plays. Only one user can run it and only one savegame slot. I can't believe Nintendo would expect cohabiting family members to purchase multiple individual licenses, this extreme is ridiculous.
