ICC is seeking an arrest warrant against Netanyahu and the defence minister of Israel. Finally, someone is taking a stand for Palestine and stopping the war!
The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court said May 20 he is seeking arrest warrants for leaders of Israel and Hamas, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, over actions taken during their seven-month war.
Israeli government is now curtailing the right to freedom of speech in the country to prevent the broadcasting of the reality of genocide. Not surprised now!
Israeli officials seized a camera and broadcasting equipment belonging to The Associated Press in southern Israel on May 21, accusing the news organization of violating a new media law by providing images to Al Jazeera.
« L'avocat international #JohannSoufi affirme, dans une tribune au «Monde», que l’énergie que déploient certains à dénoncer l’utilisation du terme «#génocide» pour qualifier le conflit à #Gaza vise à nier la gravité des crimes commis par #Israël. »
‘one of the things that we’re also always hearing about being faculty and in community at Morehouse is that this is Dr. King’s alma mater and that we should stand up for social justice and humanitarianism’
‘We also recognize the connection of the Congo to the current situation in the Middle East, the fact that President Biden has tried to strike a deal with Dan Gertler, the noted conflict mineral mining magnate’
L'absence de surprise est totale : il aura fallu attendre moins de 24 h pour voir des gens nous expliquer que, quand même, ce procureur de la CPI qui lance un mandat d'arrêt contre Netanyahu, il s'appelle Karim quand même, c'est louche...
‘The law we apply is humanity’s law, not the law of any given side. It must protect all the victims of this conflict; and all civilians in conflicts to come.’
‘This means that Israel’s leaders are indicted war criminals. And we heard the clip of Netanyahu once again trying to hide behind the Holocaust and what he claims is Israeli democracy and so on. That’s no longer going to fly.’
Beware of attempts to smear the ICC prosecution by claiming that ICC has "equated Israel & Hamas."
ICC has done no such thing. That's not how law works. The law works by comparing a person's behavior with what the law says is legal & illegal. That's what's happened here. Period.

‘What’s happening is not genocide’: #Biden criticizes #ICC for seeking arrest warrants for #Israel officials – as it happened
[Live blog for May 20 - now closed, but still available]
“Israel took Palestinian life, liberty and freedom as hostage for the past 75 years,” says Hass. “You go to Tel Aviv, you think you are in New York or you are in London — and 40, 50 kilometers away, Palestinians live in cages.”
‘The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has announced he is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and three leaders of Hamas’
‘On Sunday, the U.N.'s top humanitarian chief, Martin Griffiths, said Israel's stranglehold on aid reaching Gaza is having “apocalyptic” consequences.’
‘Biden’s speech came just days after his administration notified Congress of its plans to send another $1 billion in arms to Israel, including tank ammunition, mortars and tactical vehicles.’
A poster was shared on social media to promote the protest. A description of the event said protesters were "delivering a message to #McGill administration that we refuse to stand by quietly while they remain complicit in #genocide."
The #US House speaker, Mike Johnson, says that the House may vote on sanctions against the International Criminal Court for seeking an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin #Netanyahu.
"Congress is reviewing all options, including sanctions, to punish the #ICC and ensure its leadership faces consequences if they proceed," he said in a statement.
What has #Biden done that's worse than what #Trump did? I'll start. He went out of his way to bypass #Congress to give arms and money to a country that was clearly committing war crimes.
"We submit that the crimes against humanity charged were part of a widespread and systematic attack against the civilian population of Israel by Hamas and other armed groups pursuant to organisational policies."
Das hat schon ne deutlich andere Qualität: Systematische Angriffe auf Zivilisten gemäss der Strategie der Organisation.
