Charles Perrault wrote one of the oldest versions of the tale in 1697 & here both the #grandmother & the #girl get eaten by the #wolf - no happy ending.
This version is also rather #sexual & is meant to be a moral tale for young girls not to be naïve.
The #French version also mentions that she wears a "chaperon", not a mere hood. A chaperon is a short cape with a hood attached.
I've just moved across to what is probably my natural home from tech.lgbt, so I guess it's a good idea to do another #introduction post.
I'm an aging (in my 50s) #mathematician who started coming out as #trans#nonbinary only a couple of years ago. Overall this has had massive positive effects on my life -- it's never too late. Sadly I'm a little fixated on being the teenage #goth#girl that I missed the first time around -- my 13yo is not impressed.
