While idly admiring the artwork on some “Words of Encouragement” greeting cards at the store yesterday, I found myself thinking, “I should get one of these… for myself!”

Walking back to the car, I saw a novel bumper sticker that read “You Matter.”

Whoa. Random positivity!

@pop_os_official @system76 just got COSMIC files, terminal, and app store from the Pop Shop. Man, when is this going to be fully integrated!

The new is so nice. Will not be using the Pop Shop ever again.

Can't wait for the full COSMIC release.

To borrow a phrase from a friend, my mind is “fizzing with ideas” and full of positive thoughts about the future of the open social web.

People who complain about wild singing so hard in the morning - are not my friends. I'm DELIGHTED about early morning bird songs!

Their bird calls YellTell me - We are happy in our habitat here! It's another day we are alive!

Their early morning bird songs, remind me of the importance of feeling of being able to enjoy another morning, another day, to relish in the fact I'm still alive & able to receive many opportunities that the dead no longer have.

For today's , I want to thank the people who still know how to listen to others. Those who don't always put themselves at the center of the universe, but can also understand others. Those who strive to be well and make others well, not constantly fighting to prevail, dominate, outdo, or crush.
My gratitude today goes to these increasingly rare individuals.

This place isn't perfect. It has its problems, flaws, and limitations. It's not immune to hatred or those who spread negativity.
Yet, here I've encountered incredible people, a marvelous community committed to bringing constructive engagement, dialogue, and social interaction back to the network.
Thank you, Fediverse.
Thank you, friends of the Fediverse.

For today's , I want to express my gratitude to someone I will refer to only by his first name, Gabriele. Many years ago, I was stuck in a job where I was exploited by my employer—the only one I had ever had. Gabriele, who attended one of my Linux courses about 20 years ago, saw my potential and offered me life-changing advice: 'You have a passion for what you do. Don't waste your time on someone who uses it only for their own profit. Start your own business, I'll help by introducing you to some of my clients, and we can offer the Open Source solutions that excite you so much. You're young enough to try.' I took the leap. It wasn't easy, but ultimately, I succeeded in doing the work I love and choosing the technical solutions I prefer. I'm not a great salesman and often charge too little, feeling almost guilty for asking people to pay for something I enjoy so much. But tonight, I want to say thank you to Gabriele. He might not read this, but my gratitude remains.

I have a huge amount of appreciation for the fact that Nautilus / can seamlessly pattern-select, batch-rename and move files both from its treeview and from search results… all with keyboard shortcuts! Extremely useful to clean up filenames.

Today, in someone else's messy folders, I was able to cleanly rename everything and eliminate at least 40 duplicates in a directory that contained over 180 files, most of which were in the wrong locations.

Shoutout to Fina Wilke's Warp! Such a nice, self-contained way to just send stuff between devices. Works like a charm for both my 5GB music folder and that Markdown document I wanted to bring with me on my laptop to do some editing while away from my room. Take it for a spin and experience the magic for yourself!

Thank you to everyone who has donated books from our wish lists. The books will be sent to people like Ahmad in California, who sent us a letter a few days ago saying: "Words cannot describe how grateful I am about your organization sending us books. From the deepest of my heart THANK YOU!"

There is still time to donate and have your donation matched.

Wishing you all more peace & quiet, beautiful & soul-filled moments in life 💗❤️💗

For today's , I want to express my gratitude to the entire open-source community. Past, present, and future. I owe so much to what many developers, sysadmins, enthusiasts have built and maintained. I've always believed that culture should be free and accessible to all, and the OSS community has made it possible to study, learn, and implement complex and professional solutions without the need for closed systems, licenses, or expensive "certification" courses.

To the Open Source community, heartfelt thanks!
