Quick cast-on of a Musselburgh (my second) as I just had to (...?!!?!!)
I'm working on 2 test-knits to finish before June 20, but, well, there is now this small project to be my travel-small-bring-along stockinette project :)
Adult-small size, yarn is a lovely cotton-viscose blend, fingering weight.(Estate, Lana Grossa)
I'm thinking of doing other half in pink-plus-glitter yarns held together, as this is for my 4-year old daughter 😉
I really want to love this more than I am as it works up.
I'm really hoping like, more progress and blocking works miracles.
It's the same yarn as the pattern, but idk, it looks SO messy and blaaaah to me. Maybe I'm just too close to it. And maybe the yarn will really look great after blocking.
Sometimes you just need to stop and give time to yourself. This weekend has been about getting in touch with my creative side. 3 new squares for my blanket and raspberry brownies. #knitting#crafts#baking#handmade
Hello Fediverse Knitters & Crocheters who use screen readers! Is there anything you wish designers knew when trying to make PDF knitting/crochet patterns accessible other than "make sure to have instructions in both written and charted format"?
Let me know in the comments so I can make the most of my InDesign accessibility settings for you!
Thank goodness I brought my backup #SocksOnVacay knitting so I'm not out of knitting now that I've run out of shawl thanks to flight delays. This one time, bringing way more knitting than I thought I could do has totally paid off. 🧶
I bought the yarn during my last visit with my mom. I've knit the socks with a set of her DPNs. They are not quite the size I prefer and not the length I prefer. They are also rather well used, so the tips are already a bit blunt.
These are pretty basic sneaker socks, broken seed stitch on top, ribbing on the sole was a (successful) experiment, yarn is nothing special, I found it by chance and liked the colors.
It’s all over the internet, it’s incoherent misogyny! I dyed a new batch, and there are many other powerful pinks and purples in stock.

My next project in the 'buildabeautifulboxofsocks24' from https://www.ashandevedesigns.com has arrived. So pretty.
Perfect for this time of the year - winter officially arrives this Saturday.
With Myfanwy's recent move into politics, on top of her demanding roles in art, film & travelogue, we are happy to welcome Esme to the team in Scotland to spread the load.
Please... say hello to the delightful and excellent Esme!
🐕🦺🐕🦺🐕🦺 Don't miss the wonderful tale <heh heh> of Wally, the rescued Tibetan mastiff, especially part 2/3rd way through when she removes Wally's pelt. Incredible!!
I wonder if it's the same for sheep, alpacas, llamas, goats, etc. What a great dog!
Yesterday I started knitting again after years of not knitting a single stitch. I forgot how much I love it. 😁🧶
All the stitches came back to me as soon as I picked the needles up again. I didn't have to look up how to do any of it, I guess it must be muscle memory. 👀 :knitting: :ablobcatknitsweats:
I'm knitting together the folded collar for a top-down jumper.
I didn't find any patterns that use this method and I have no idea why, because it seems to be the obvious and easiest way?? For some reason they all start at the neckline and then go back and do the collar last, which feels like it defeats the purpose of a one-piece pattern.
“Turquoise Sea”. I dyed plenty of yarn to bring to @thewoolmontyshow, buying in extra to make sure I have an amazing selection. The shop is stocked to bursting with beautiful colours so now is a great time to look if you won’t be at the show.
