The list of supported RAW file formats in 8.6 is getting longer and longer, and this time we have added the Olympus ".ORI" format to be cataloged, with thumbnails and metadata...

Watermark with an image! Until now, we had the option to have a text as a visual watermark, but now there can also be images!

Patch in your company logo, or whatever to your exported photos!

Watermark with an image!

You could add a visual textual watermark to your converted and exported images and photos in before, but now you can also add a watermark image as well!

It’s so sad that I can no longer share my photos online without also involuntarily training future models.

I’ve been playing with to “poison” my images against training, but the tool introduces quite a lot of distortion and artifacts that grate on my nerves. I guess this is the immediate future for us, until someone discovers a way to poison images in a way that is less visible to humans.

Here’s an example. The first image is an original, and the second is one that has been poisoned by Nightshade.

The third is one poisoned to a “low” degree. It’s OKAY—it’s not great, but it’s not as bad. I wonder how effective a “low” setting is versus a “default” setting.

I’m looking forward to a #Nightshade CLI tool so I can write a #Lightroom plugin that will apply Nightshade on export, or batch apply it to a set of photos that will show up on my online gallery.

Yes, #NeoFinder can #catalog #thumbnails and metadata of #Apple #ProRAW photo files!
And you can add ratings, keywords, descriptions and all, too.
And convert these files to other formats.
And check every pixel in the Light Table.
And build beautiful web galleries with them…

Enjoy!

Well, this one was not easy, as the gpr library from GoPro is, uh, well, you know...

But, here we are:
Another often requested ability is cataloging ".GPR" files written by the popular Action Cameras with .

We have discovered a bug in , which will write GPS values with a low precision to the XMP metadata of photos.

This can cause to show a slightly wrong GPS coordinate as well when cataloging photos.

Folks: Precision in GPS coordinates are really important!

Linux photogs, help me out. What does your workflow look like? What apps do you use?

I've found that digikam is really good for managing my keywords and metadata, and organising photos post shoot, but the image editing is limited.

And using seperate image editing software leads to problems, because my camera's raw files (.cr3) aren't very well supported.

I can make it work, by using lightroom online, but it's not exactly an integrated system due to Lightroom onlines cloud based design.

I've tried running Lightroom in a VM, but ran in to trouble giving the VM access to my GPU...

So those who have made it work, what does it look like for you?

8.6 adds a new web gallery template, "Concertina", to present your photos on a website.

Check out a real example with actual photos:

I know there isn't a RAW photo editor that comes close to for , but which do you prefer and why?

I have tried , and probably more, but UI seems pretty horrible or development has stopped.

Walking my dog last night and thought the full moon looked a little lopsided. Turns out it was grazing the edge of the Earth’s shadow- I’d completely forgotten about the penumbral lunar eclipse!

(Also a shout-out to the app’s camera- this was first time I’ve ever been able to get a properly exposed picture of the moon from my iPhone)

If you have a network installation with multiple users on different Macs and PCs, make sure to use at least version #NeoFinder 8.5.2, which synchronizes the global keywords list from the Controlled Vocabulary much better, and is able to detect changes made to the list by other NeoFinder for Mac or #abeMeda for Windows instances.
