The NHS is on its knees, there's shit in our water, children are dying of mould inhalation in damp homes their parents can't afford to heat, and we're told that what we should be outraged at is checks notes the 's scone recipe.

There's a lot of justified anger in this country right now, and it benefits the shower in government if it's misdirected at bullshit like this. Don't fall for it.

Magnolia trees in gardens in the south of England and parts of Wales are blooming four weeks earlier than usual because of a largely mild winter and a particularly balmy, if wet, February, the National Trust said.
"These blooms are a very visual sign of how our seasons are shifting, and the consequences of a rapidly changing climate"

Connections: A Hidden Iron Age Gem to Trevelyan’s Controversial Past

According to the National Trust's heritage records, this conspicuous feature is termed a "small univallate earthwork." 'Univallate' is just a fancy way of saying it's got one raised edge encircling a ditch. Usually, that word is usually associated with hillforts, but here, the lack of any visible signs of habitation insi ...

🌲The #NationalTrust plans to create vast new areas of temperate #rainforest in the south-west of #England

More than 100,000 trees will be planted in north #Devon to create swathes of humid #woodland that will be home to plants facing #extinction

Experts say the area's heavy rainfall and high humidity levels provide a unique moisture-rich #environment

Other projects to recreate the lost #rainforests of #Britain are already ongoing

OK, it is about England, but we should pay attention in Scotland. Outside interests are working hard to undermine political and cultural ‘targets' in Scotland. And it has been working 🤬🤢

If you're a member you have till Friday to vote in council elections and stop the "anti-woke" brigade of from getting a foothold. They want to stop the NT educating people about the history of slavery and exploitation behind the wealth of the aristocracy, suppress exploration of LGBTQ+ narratives, and row back on attempts to encourage ethnic diversity among visitors. https://secure.cesvotes.com/V3-2-0/nt23/en/login?bbp=54540&x=-1
