A long time ago, I looked into TSR publications that might have used the 1 page dungeon format before the 1 page dungeon contest, or something close. One such adventure is UK4 When a Star Falls from 1984. Notice the small map and the encounter key written out below it.
The UK series of modules are really my sort of adventure, not too sandbox, not too railroady, somewhere inbetween with a lot of interesting little details.
This panel by @davidrevoy captures my ultimate #tabletop#RPG fantasy. I've had plenty of sessions online, but I would kill for a comfy weekend playing #PenAndPaper with a bunch of friends.
Cyberpunk squad tactics RPG with stealth, gridless movement & cover, faction & reputation mechanics. http://s.team/a/1021210/ - Going to have a demo in Steam Next Fest starting on Monday.
I'm currently playing #Wartales and really enjoying it.
Wartales is a turn-based tactical #RPG that offers an addictive and entertaining gameplay experience. Players who like tactical RPGs should definitely consider trying out Wartales.

Hard to believe I finally found it after all these years. And, it appears I'm the first one to EVER use the disk in 37 years since the day it was made, which makes no sense to me at all. (!!!)
The Long Goodbye—A review of Signal to Noise, an interstellar epistolary roleplaying game impeded by noise for two players published by LunarShadow Designs.
Still feeling a little unnerved that the party appeared to make some progress in our Cthulhu Eternal investigation last night. We may be on the wrong track, I suppose, but the usual Whartson Hall method is to rope a red herring and ride it erratically into the sunset, whereas @RogerBW seems to have put his finger on a highly plausible possibility (given weight by the traditional Lovecraftian investigation marker: it prompted a handout from the GM).
You can finish and become rich in #SimFarm. But as a Forever28, you can't duplicate your success.
You can win every single game of #CaesarIII and #CaesarIV, but not as a Forever28.
You play #Diablo (the original) without cheating (especially the duplicate cheat). As a Forever28, you can't even imagine how you played Diablo without cheating.
Most important of all: you still don't like #eyecandy games. Games like #MUD / #MUSH (text-based online #RPG), #roguelike, dungeon crawlers, and isometric games, are still your go to #games.
#Rollenspiel#DnD#RPG
In worldbuilding and RPGs, settings tend to get associated with a genre to go with. But a persistent game world has the advantage that it can be visited through the lens of different genre types. Set a rom com in your dark fantasy world, or a courtroom in your sci-fi, or a game of Fiasco in your post-apoc. Hell, set your smut and erotica in your world!
I know that there are other TTRPGs out there other than D&D but it can be overwhelming not knowing where to start. Especially because with D&D being the more mainstream one, it makes it easier to find groups.
I’d really love to hear your favourite TTRPG and why you love it. If you specifically moved to it as a alternative to D&D, what is it that makes it more suited to your play style?
Bevorzugung such ich deutschsprachige!
Glanced over the usual RPG forums before starting work this morning. As usual, there were several overexcited announcements of new games launching, either Kickstarters or PDF releases mainly.
I think I've grown numb to them. How many actual games can a hobby really support? New supplements, settings, adventures etc, those sometimes look interesting, but the mountain of almost universally unplayed games is colossal. They flare into existence in forums, burn brightly and briefly, then something else pushes them aside. I'm not at all sure that ease of publication and distribution has been the benefit to the hobby that we thought. The lust for the new and keenness to spend money on hoped-for solutions to problems we could solve in other ways seems to have overwhelmed current game chat.
Uh-oh… Noble Knight is offering free international shipping (if you spend something like $300 on products). Thank goodness I'm no longer in the market for OOP and collectible games.
New trailer for XCOM-like heist RPG, Cyber Knights: Flashpoint. Demo in 3 days, game releasing later this year. [PC / Mac / Linux] (www.youtube.com)
