It's funny, way back when I avoided first-person shooters because at the time the more popular ones didn't put as much focus on story. Adventure games were around but waning, or at least not as discussed in my circles.
That largely left me with RPGs for my story & game fix, but talk about a terrible fit for me. I kept getting stuck because I wasn't interested in leveling, stat allocation, any of that.
Kept trying as I'm stubborn but never grew to like those systems.
I created a new gameplay prototype for the protagonist's mechanics, a shocker that will have multiple uses. In addition to protection from monsters, the main thing is charging for various types of electrical devices that will give a temporary effect. It will be very interactive
‘Fortnite’ Chapter 5, Season 3 is probably my least favorite season in years. I don't care for the weapon selection at all, none of the new items do it for me, the ‘Mad Max’ theming is fine but not as much fun as I had expected, and I really do not enjoy the emphasis on vehicle-based combat.
Disappointing, but in a way I'm also kind of glad—I'm extremely busy with work and summer classes just started, so it's a good time for them to ship a clunker.
Finished Batman: Arkham Asylum last night. Just shy of 15 years after launch, the game holds up pretty great, with satisfying combat and gameplay, a fantastic voice cast, and a cool island. There's a bit of a blend of Metroidvania and Legend of Zelda-style level design, with the locations acting as different dungeons, but with extra paths and secrets that require return trips with future upgrades to access.
I've been covering a lot of HEAVY news lately, so let's wrap up the week with a little gaming accessory? https://somegadgetguy.com/b/46M
This is one of the coolest solutions for a phone game controller I've ever had the pleasure of reviewing. Let's play!
@games Games to replace Total War: Warhammer 3 with?
There have been rumors/controversies about the next #totalwar Warhammer 3 DLC, while I don't personally believe them, it's true that we're reaching the lifecycle end of this franchise, I'm thinking of a contingency plan, I've played this series since 2017, and to replace with something else is going to take a while.
Still, here are some of my ideas, and I would like to hear others from the community
Now for the kitchen, I had lots of fun making this one. I showed it to my mom and told me I needed to move the sink and put it under the window! #MyDreamSetup
I had a brilliant idea for a game in Unreal Engine 5. I decided to write about it, because I will not do it myself, maybe you will like it and make an indie game... It can also be a mobile game.
Slap fighting = Chaos Flesh + MetaHuman
The main focus is the detailing and physics of the face. This is a sports game where you have to choose a character and train him and take part in various face-slapping battles. Write in the comments your ideas for this concept
Now this game has added DLCs with bathroom and kitchen so here's the bathroom. There were a few glitches with this one and yes having a tub and a shower is necessary. #MyDreamSetup
Calling every first-person shooter game from 1993 to 1996 "a DOOM clone" was equally as silly as calling games "roguelike" nowadays. I will stop using that term immediately!
For @miona's VGM Wednesday, how about an @ocremix!
Here's "Look at All the Ships!" a remix of music from Pokémon Red Version in Vermillion City by Zack Parrish, featuring Jeff Ball and Pearl Pixel. https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR04585
